Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions OPEN)
I was not aware that KBO had such a system, if implemented, it would indeed be a good option indeed. As of this moment, though, it might be a bit radical of a change and I think the main problem the admins could have with it is to limit the amount of submissions somehow. I think that, if they are listening and thinking about changing the way we start batches, the best way to begin would be progressively with the simple tweak I suggested.Comment

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions OPEN)
indeed
I don't understand why the submissions close anyway, it's a ****ing email address and you can just say "Hey we're starting our next batch in 24 hours" and then take all the previously sent stuff and then if someone is late, it automatically gets put into the next batch. I dunno why you'd ignore submissions that were sent before the batch being open, but whatever.Comment

or y'know
have a submission system that isn't convoluted as hell and heavily dependent on one singular personOriginally posted by cetakaI saw a flyer on a bulletin board at school asking for high-functioning aspergers/autism people to participate in some kind of experiment, and all I could think was, that sounds like a great place to meet girls.Comment

best judging system: osu's
there's two simfile databases, judged and nonjudged. when you put something up it goes in unjudged, and to be considered for judging it has to be the equivalent of 'liked' by helpers and then there's a cycle of criticism/fixing until it's put in the 'quality assured' pile of files
also each file gets its own thread to discuss it in
also I think that since osu is harder to chart for and it's easy to make objective rules to filter out crap that can be checked by a program (for example, distance between notes that are fast not being proportional to their temporal distance, more notes being on one side of the screen than the other, etc) there's less crap in the first place hehePatashu makes Chiptunes in Famitracker:

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions OPEN)
yeah osu has a better system regarding quality control, but it's long and tedious to get files through. I'm confident people are able to make files much better now than they used to a few years back. quality control isn't the biggest issue. though this system would be useful to get all fixes accounted for before submitting to batch.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions OPEN)
Note: Judgement deadline is changed, over 100 submissions.
After I saw how kbo's judgement system turned out I don't think we should use that system, honestly. And considering this site has way more submissions we'll have flood of judgement pending files in a few months obviously.
We can't write the exact date beforehand, but can post aproximate date (ex. end of August, around Aug 25th).
If you want to submit files, stock files when you have time and keep checking this thread.Last edited by jimerax; 08-27-2012, 06:04 PM.Comment
