Or people just resubmit files from an earlier batch that had been rejected with recommended fixes, but they barely fix anything at all and/or just want different judges to judge it.

wtf are you talking about, why would ffr use a freaking bell curve to accept files

Because the last batch I participated in, we used a acceptance score influenced by a bell curve - I remember seeing some formula to adjust it. Guys I said nothing about wanting poorly made files in game and lowering standards, I just wondered what was happening this batch if a lot of the judges are describing the batch as poor quality. As in: what's the standard?

you submitted a file solely because you want the simfile author title

this is not the philosophy I used when fixing mine, but if it doesn't make it this batch you can bet I'm making minor changes and resubmitting it with hopes of other judges.

By the way bell curves are not used in FFR batches. They use adjusted scores for judges.
Also you don't get it do you? I'm not going to say more. You should try implementing some common sense into that empty head of yours.

Fair enough, just as of now I *am* stepping files for the soul purpose of getting them in game. I'd like others to see my work since I'm not a musician or artist. I want to have points so I can have a higher submission cap. And I'd quite like having a title other than "FFR Player" for the past 5 years - So if my "intentions are all screwed the **** up", wc, then OK.

What's going on in here? How am I owned? You say I want some arbitrary bold orange text, and twist my words saying I'm owned because I posted that I wanted to get a file in-game and contribute something worthwhile to the community - to be someone in the community, and so others can enjoy my work.

The fact is I wouldn't even have started stepping if the goal wasn't to get a file into FFR. So I don't get why you're getting so upset and making it your goal to prove me wrong.

I'm not going to say more.

I talked to him on Skype recently and submissions came up. His motivation is more than just the user title, more about contributing to the community really.

Either way, it doesn't really matter. Regardless of what reason he submitted his files, they will be judged the same way as everyone else. If they are good files, they will get accepted and I will probably like them. If they suck, then they will be rejected and no one will have to play them, case closed.
