Can't you guys simply..
- Open SM and re-save..
- Open sound editor and insert silence then re-sync..
- Rename if the format is wrong..
- Make a folder if it doesn't..
- Change the difficulty if beginner/edit..

Yeah we can do all of these things, we just have a lot more other things to do.
This is why these rules exist.

We know ddream and sm-ssc don't generate swi, it just requires SM 3.9/3.95/4.0 to convert.
If this is the only issue we'll maybe receive the file, still putting dwis is helpful in our current system.

I don't wanna download StepMania just to do this though.... ): lol

I think it's time for a new converter to be made that can consistently handle .sm files (SSFFRC doesn't always cut it, as those of you who have worked with intense color gimmicks already know). Forcing users to download older (and unwanted) versions of SM is ridiculous, and having .dwi files needed to be sent just causes a multitude of issues.

I also only had a .sm file for my submission. Honest mistake, but I don't even use older versions of SM anymore - it's either SM 5 or DDream.

So question: Why is it when someone collabs, neither of the stepartists receive the "FFR R1 Simfile Author" title, when they both very clearly made the file? Is there a reason people are discredited for that?

So question: Why is it when someone collabs, neither of the stepartists receive the "FFR R1 Simfile Author" title, when they both very clearly made the file? Is there a reason people are discredited for that?

You need 3 collabs for the title.

The requirements for getting a simfile artist title is to either get one file into the game that you created entirely on your own, or three collabs that you worked on with at most one other person.

Collabs aren't registered to your name on your profile. Never have and probably never will be.

Collabs aren't registered to your name on your profile. Never have and probably never will be.

I think Velo said once that it was possible just really hard and complicated so he'd have to put it off, but he'd get to it eventually. Which, in all fairness, means it might be put off indefinitely.

Well, couldn't they be manually implemented onto someone's profile? Like when a moderator gives them the forum title, they also add that to their profile?
