lol, at first I kept thinking you meant io and the 9 and + that aren't on the num. pad for a minute. still, that's a very unique setup. have you ever tried as56? askl and as;' are also pretty popular from what I understand. personally, I play on as56 x1.8.

I don't think changing the keys can make me improve any further, I've had many setups.

This. I literally went from barely FC'ing low 10's to "OMFG, I can FC Southern Cross & Black Key Etude" overnight. whoever says getting a new keyboard doesn't work is lying.

Right now I'm just playing Emerald Sword (180bpm stream) on SM an hour a day to improve my speed. Stepmania has really boosted my PA x_x

Move to something faster, like Pink Fuzzy Bunnies (On SMG Pack) or playing songs with higher rates (KBC2's Gleam In The Dark 1.3).

I can't get a comfortable position with my left hand AT ALL, sometimes I notice my left hand is just mashing wildly while my right one is actually playing properly.

I noticed that in the replay, actually.

Given the number of times you've switched setups, perhaps you aren't giving your hands enough time to adjust to the particulars of the new setup (even arrow keys only feels very different from LD arrows + 8-6 numpad). It's also possible that your keyboard is atrocious when it comes to hitting certain combinations of keys too quickly.

Regardless, maybe jumpstream isn't your thing. Try slower but more technical files...there are some that will FORCE your left hand to stop spazzing if you want a good score. AIM Anthem, Club, Counter Strike Gun Sounds and Radio Heads come to mind.

I'll try to get back on SM after 5 years then, maybe change my keyboard, see if I can at least get a small skillboost from that.

What Cmod do you recommend for someone playing 2x on FFR?

Start off on like c750 and move up if you feel you can handle it a bit faster.

Don't think that you are not getting better or stuck, think about how you ARE getting better for sure and don't over think it when you derp on hard parts. It takes a lot of time either spread out or bunched together like me lol. Just think the impossible, I believe I can be as good as doss someday even if it seems impossible now I know it is possible in years to come as long as I don't quit or think I've reached my limit. The brain is amazing and it will take you there if you let it
