Anything other than that means the person is either a subscriber, former subscriber, or got very lucky, and an admin or mod changed it for them.
RULES FOR PROPER THREAD MAKING
1. before you make a thread... think to yourself... "will i sound like a complete idiot if i make this thread?" "will i get flamed out the ass if i make this thread?" "am i doing nothing but whining about something i'm getting for free and not supporting myself?" if you answer yes to any of those questions, don't post the thread.
2. if the thread has ANYTHING to do with tokens, skill tokens, sotw, or difficulty of songs... do not post it. under any circumstance. why? because you already violated rule #1, i'm sure.
I'm trying to get as much tokens as possible (I don't know where that idea came from)..... So I examined the skill token -list and found an interesting word..... A black flag. What does "Black Flag" mean?
Thanks. And one more question.... When i've watched some FFR videos, the screen where you can see your results of the song is black. Is FFR downloadable on computers, or somethin'?
There's no formula, it's just your grand total score in comparison to everyone else's. If your overall rank is 1,000, there are 999 people with a grand total score higher than you and a whole crapload who have lower.
Overall rank isn't really anything to brag about because you could have just played Excite Bike a bajillion times and have 10 billion points (which is rank like 85) and not be able to combo past standard. Average rank is the big brag area. If your average rank is under 1,000, you're pretty good at this game. Your average rank is your rank on each song added together divided by the total number of songs. Token and Skill token songs are not included in your average rank.

Not necessarily. AAA means that you get the highest possible score on any given song. Beta hasn't been released to the public yet, so 100 Bar Blackout is a shining example. A AAA on 100BB is 2 goods because there are two 3 framer jackhammers. In 3 framers, you have to get a good in order to maintain your combo. PFC means all perfects.
Though some time hopefully soon, the issue that results in non-all-perfect AAA scores will be fixed and publically available. In fact, since the fix is available currently to subscribers, almost every song that couldn't be PFC'd normally has been PFC'd by someone using the subscriber beta, so it pretty much IS the case now that for FFR AAA = All Perfects.
