You Christians wants to think that we have always been this evolved.
And RandomPscho is right, we have been getting taller over the years, and we have skeletons to prove it.
If you search Google Images, you will see that skeletons from 1700 a.d. and before have been noticeably smaller than our skeletons today.
And for the fish skeletons on Mount Everest, do you think that Mount Everest has been that tall forever?
Where the hell do you think that islands, continents, volcanoes, and mountains come from?
    Under the ocean.

well since you know so much about "jeans" why dont you understand evolution.
let me tell you a story...
once apon a time there was a sea with fish in it.
some fish died and became fossils.
later volcanoes erupted and created mountains under the fossils.
      the end.
please educate your self in genetics and spelling (for those important words)
the unda doggz is actually exponentially more inteligent than you and that is probably apparent to everone who is reading this

Have you learned what averages are in math? It is a "normal" of a given set of data. Over the last thousand years, the human race has gained about a full foot in stature --- We have EVOLVED.

        2. any idoit would know that islands come from coral reef, valcanos. IM 13 AND I KNOW THAT! YOUR 16 AND YOU DONT!
Which in turn come from under water. The real point he is trying to make though, is that mountains are formed from the collision of tectonic plates. This you learn about in 6th grade. (Or at least I did). Mount everest is about 60 million years old. The earliest fish fossils go back to about 490 million years ago.

Chocaholic, we are still eagerly, but patiently, waiting for you proof that evolution is wrong, and that god created everything.

Re: A big problem for Evolution?

I am a Christian, and I believe that this universe was created by God, and there is scientific evidence behind this. Scientists have found fish fossils on the top of Mount Everest. The only explanation for that is the Flood that occured in Genesis. And if evolution is real, then why aren't we still evolving?
Evolution is not real. Just look at the human body. It's extremely complex. Why would anybody believe that evolution created us?
                1. There is no scientific evidence to support a universe created by God. None.

                2. That is not the only explanation. Lets break it down:

                A) The flood never happened. Nope, sorry. Not only is there no evidence for the literal biblical flood, ancient history also tells us it didn't happen.

                B) The mountains were once regular earth just like any other.

                3. We are still evolving...

                4. I would believe it because it is a fact, supported by mountains and mountains of evidence. Actually, I wouldn't believe it, I would know that it is true. Evolution didn't 'create' man...no. We were slowly crafted by evolutionary mechanisms over millions of years, supported by a flood of DNA evidence, Fossils, geological evidence, ect.

The notion that we arn't evolving is strange...and seemingly arose from political correctness, because of course all humans are created equally and there are absolutely no differenes between populations!

Udder nonsense. We are still evolving at a rather rapid pace. Evolution doesn't stop just to play to your religious beliefs or ideals.

Just a note to point out that the fact that we as humans have been growing so much taller in the last few centuries is that our diet and general health has improved exponentially.
I would say a better recent example of evolution was published in UK newspapers just last week, that Britain's warming climate is having an affect on the size of sheep

The lack of Critical Thinking in this Critical Thinking thread hurts.

From now on, any post that has horrible spelling and grammar will be completely disregarded.

I think it would be funny if everyone had to pass an IQ test before you could post in CT. I really enjoy having though provoking discussions but it ruins it when people don’t know what they are talking about. I especially like talking to people who I can tell are smarter than me because then I learn a little something just from talking to them. I will try to limit my insults but only because I don’t want to have this thread locked.
If anyone has a question about evolution or anything really I’d be more than happy to tell you my opinion (which I would like to think is fairly enlightened)

As I just said in the Ken Ham thread, I'd like to know why it's such a big deal for Christians to accept that, maybe, God created us through evolution.

Because the bible doesn't say so, and if the bible is wrong, people might question there faith, and now there is a LOT of evidence supporting other thoughts and ideas which would be detrimental to the church so the church tries instilling that its beliefs are always right thereby corrupting the minds of children such as chocaholic. Then these people refuse to believe anything but what the church tells them.

Run on sentence because it was a rant. Sorry.

EDIT: Coincidentally the new South Park demonstrates what I am saying.
