The N word is only racist because someone decided that it should be racist right around the time of the civil rights movement. Prior to that the word didn't really have racist connotations, and I'd even venture as far as to say that it is comparable to the modern use of the word "black" to refer to a person of African descent.

That's the thing that bothers me. They decided that it was racist. They gave it power to offend over them. The racism wasn't inherent in the word, but black people put it there by being greatly offended by it.

ps this is, of course, assuming that white people didn't somehow coerce black people into being offended at the mere utterance of the word.

I find it increbily hypocritical that, in alot of cases, that some black people (not generalising, merely making the statement as I have seen it happen in person many times) go frigging psycho if you say the N word, yet they can go around saying 'whiteboy' or something similiar and it's all cool and in jest.

Frigging hypocrites, just because your black, doesn't mean people have to bend over backwards to try and not 'offend you' I get pissed off at the amount of times white people are called racist, when alot of the time, white people are on the recieving end and nothing happens.

Oh yeh because white people are a majority...
