    The power of HHO?

I'm not 100% sure how this works, but this could mean ALOT of bright things for the future.

The flame turns hotter then the surface of the sun, and is a very powerful fuel source. it combines the power of WATER with electricity to turn H2O into HHO.

On an 100 mile trip he used 4 oz. of water. incredible.

heres the main website for the invention: http://hytechapps.com/

Yea I just saw this. Assuming it's really as practical as it appears, this is pretty nuts.

Did some reading on the site and such. It's not 'ready' to be put into cars and such yet, but they're working on it to make it economical and cost efficient. This could be huge. The implications of not having to use gasoline are quite large.

Amazing... Izzy actually made an intelligent comment.

This would potentially destroy certain Middle Eastern economies, and then entire oil industry worldwide... ASSUMING this water/electricity process is cheaper and an easy process.

The video is sexy, but we don't know the cost it takes to run it nor the time/difficulty to do it... basically what Reach said.

Old, synth showed me this HOURS ago.

In all seriousness, it's insane that some random guy came up with this tech. Insane...

It's about time someone figured out a seemingly workable way of burning water.

The thing I don't get is why would it be warm to the touch, yet would make metal become red hot? Why would it affect the human body much less than it would metal?

Chemical reactions? i have no idea. maybe it reacts more violently to metals and less to skin.

this is cool. Wish they'd reveal how it worked.

                  edit: oh. nvm: http://hytechapps.com/presentation/l...%20Journal.pdf

also, my guess as to why it doesn't hurt your skin is that your skin isn't metallic (aka no excitable transition element electrons)? maybe they're just talking about the tip of the nozzle, not the gas itself, and the news people messed up.

Oh i understand what he means. The flame is concetrated so it doesnt burn him. IF he actually touched it, it would burn him.

It's really not that hard. All they're doing is using the most common molecule on the planet to store electrical energy, and then burning it to release that energy in a combustion reaction.

You get water back. 100% evironmentally friendly.

                        Parts would collapse.

I mean, you can get water for free. And you can charge a battery for free. Do you actually think they're going to let you drive for free? XD

I have a feeling there will be a catch somewhere. rofl. Something along the lines of only a certain water being able to run the engine so you have to pay for it. Or if not that, they will find a way to suck the money you used to pay for gasoline out of you.

I thought it would be more dealing with the fact that the human body is composed of mostly water. The metal heats up due to the fact that the molecules are so tightly packed, as they are in all of the solids that he burns.
The human body, however, has very loosely packed molecules which I think keeps it from burning as much, or at all.

no.. notice how they never touch the flame. It would burn you. it just doesnt heat up anything its not touching. the heat doesnt dissapate into the air.

He does touch the flame, though, he shows it touching his fingers at one point in the video. Albeit he's not close to the origin, but it is still on his fingers.

Edit: Regardless of if he's touching the flame or not, this is an incredible technology and I'm looking forward to what comes of it.
