    The Universe Theory

During Lacrosse, (yes, Lacrosse,) My counsler and I had a huge talk about the universe. We eventually came to this conclusion: The universe will keep on imploding and exploding for infinity*infinity^infinity, based on the amount of nows and the amount of nows everyone else has that changes, whether slightly or not, the way we live. Ergo, the new universe after the implode/explode will be one now different. We also decided we have infinite amounts of nows since now is so fast. IN ESSCENCE, DEATH IS JUST WAITING FOR THE NEXT DIMENSION IN WHICH YOU ARE OR DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THE FIRST NOW IS G_D!

P.S. I'm Jewish, which is why I spelt G_d like that. You can't spell his/her name fully without keeping it forever/ stickying it.

I'm going to camp. Tell me what you think. I'll probably read it at 6:00 PM

Your conclusion that "the universe will keep on imploding and exploding for infinity" is nothing new.

I think you need to fix these sentences; I have no idea what you are trying to say here:

Yeah, so the universe would end and start a new completely different and will continue this process or all eternity?

          RE: Re: The Universe Theory

The theory is that the universe is always expanding into a limitless space, and after a while, it will reverse, then re-explode once again. Now, a religion has been started from that, stating that everything will occur again as it has now, when the universe re-explodes. Though, wouldn't that contradict chaos theory, and most quantum mechanics?

            RE: Re: The Universe Theory

You can contradict theory all day, especially witht an equally sound theory. This concpet is primitive at best, but to explain it in depth is not. You kind of lost me as the variant "nows"... for every now is just. There is not a now later ot a now from a while back. We call that past and future. Your statement of death awaiting in the next dimension is....it hurts my head....so much.

Consier the theory that things on a 2D plane can be seen my the dimention above it but not below. Apply that to the dimention we live in - the 3rd dimention. We can see flat objects, and as far as I know nothing visible can be 1 dimentional (but there is Brownian Motion nad constant acceleration), and lastly we can see things on a 3D plane (X,Y, and Z or length , width, height). What then is the 4th dimention? Time? Tesseracts? Fractal Dimensions? (Im not thinking of the hypercube, thats a whole different can of worms and I dont mean to inspire zenonean line of questioning)There is a different answer depending on how you think about i it. Fact is - Humans exist on a 3rd dimention and worry enough about things in front of me. I dont ned to also worry about things behind me and and in areas I cant really see, least of all dying there, where I'll never be either. If however you were referring in an obscure way to God and Heaven and thinking that only black void awaits you regardless, you phrased and posed the thought in an.... interesting way to say the least.

I believe that human brain cannot cope with somthing as complex and huge as the universe, thus we will never be able to understand it fully.

                RE: Re: The Universe Theory

Its funny that I happened upon this topic because a few months ago three of my friends and i were talking about this very same thing...but we went a little further. We came up with the idea that the universe has to end somewhere because nothing can go on forever. The only things that do go on forever are loops. So does that make the universe a loop. If the universe goes on forever, then how does it expand? Also, if the universe has a place where it ends, then whats after that, and how far does the next thing go before it too ends?

yea you pretty much summed up the book Flatland in about a paragragh but back on topic, if the universe is expanding and will eventually implode, when does that change occur and who or what will change it?

RE: Re: RE: Re: The Universe Theory

Currently, the universe is expanding ever faster. I once saw in a documentary that there is a certain 'breaking point' that the universe has before it either implodes or stretches out infinitely. If the universe reaches the 'breaking point' and starts to become smaller, it will implode, but if it goes past that 'breaking point', it would extend outwards infinitely. Studies have shown that the galaxies in the universe are increasing in distance between each other, and that increase is increasing all the time (don't get confused). If the universe passes the breaking point, everything would get so far apart that everything would just...end.

Well none of our theroies could be true. We don't know nearly enough information aboutt he universe to make a 100% sure statement. but in my opinion i believe that the universe is a never ending thing. I will put it as simple as that because A). If I continue I will spark flaming. B.) The more i think about it the more i give myself a headache trying to explain whats further out their..
and in other note i also *unaware of name* saw a film about a theory that states the universe is composed of an unlimited amount of energy in string-like forms and it has 10 dimenstions. If any of you could apply this new information to your beliefs be my guest.

Superstring theory is that the universe is made up of 10 dimensions, and tiny "energy strings" that are 1 or 0 dimensional, located within smaller dimensions contained inside spaces billionths of the size of an atom.

How does that apply to the size of the universe, again?

Quick question: Can the universe expand faster then light can move? If so, doesn't time slow it down, or does the universe not obey the laws of time contained in it?
                            Bye.

This made me think of somthing increadibly stupid but somthing i find rather brilliant. Its a line from Animal house when he is getting high with his professor. they start talking about how the universe is just a tiny little piece of a so much large thing like a fingernail How our solar galaxy is just a tiny atom in the fingernail of somthing so much larger. Then they say somthing like how each atom in our body could be the universe of somthing so much smaller than us. I always thought about how our hole universe was probably a tiny piece of a much bigger picture way before i ever saw this movie, its a great thought.. hm.. im to sleepy to really make any to intellegent remarks to back any of this up right now though.. so im going to bed.
