naw, me and Jam are cool. if u havent noticed, i make it a habit of complimenting her in every thread where we both post. nothing too extreme tho. i dont PM her asking to cyber like alota people do. i mean, if she says i'm annoying then i'll stop, but until then i'll keep on with the flattery

personnaly i think art has no point in sociaty. it serves no purpose. but it is the pointless things in life that are the most remembered. i myself am an artist by trade. it is an expression.

Here's a better example: Two scientists discover a new element. And they ponder, "Gee, what should we call it?"
The first one says "Well, I think we should call it Superflyium."
The other one says "Nonsense, we should call it Freakazoidium!"
And then they both have a heated fight and Freakazoidium wins. Based on the other scientist's opinion.

Nice attempt, but you still lost. True, the opinion matters as to what somthing is symbolized as, BUT, that opinion completely changes and turns into a fact. No longer is it an opinion. At all. No chance.

As for the topic, i cant seem to find anything beautyful, because im not thinking visually. Im thinking more along the lines of the begining of life...mostly how many animals start out small and grow. It amazes me how you can look at a baby and realize one day it will be a full grown human.

Very true, but i think "art" is too vague of a word to describe it. Im pretty sure you mean art such as painting or sculptures, but i could be mistaken. Nowadays, "art" can be the way you walk, and it just has become way too open as to what art is. My view on why art is here: It is a way that people can express their talent, and as humans, i think we enjoy marveling at what other humans can create. I give major credit to those who etch out the metal for the bills....all done by hand...it just freaks me out. Art does serve a purpose, dont know what it is though...because things would just be weird without art.

thank you all for the complements. i am no smarter then most. i simply try to be as eloquent as possible. i think art is everything, it amazes me the complexity inherint in things that most people take for granted. it also doesnt hurt that i have a lot of free time to ponder such things.
