download speeds

Okay, so normally when I dl something I dl it at an okay 500-600 kb/sec. But just recently, I've been dling at twice that speed.



Why the sudden burst? I have no problem with it but iunno...I do use the school's internet. (as it's right across the street)
Could they have done something to speed it up? < the answer to that would be cool ;/

As a side question: What are your normal download speeds? (in other words compare your e-penises)

It could be where you download it from. Did you get more download speed from the same website you had 600 from? If not its probably the server you are downloading it from. It could be either closer to you or its giving you more speed.

Wow your ****ing lucky to get 1 mb a second.
My fastest I ever get is 149 kbs a second. Usually its around 120 though :/

Either the school improved their connection, or you're just downloading from servers that don't suck.

When I'm at school I hit silly speedtest.net speeds of like 94 MB/s, but practically speaking it's usually around 10-11 MB/s

Here at home? 200-300kb/s, tops
