    Re: A question for everyone

thats where i find myself getting stuck. obviously at one point or another in life i wont be able to keep in contact as much with online friends and just like a friend who moved to a different city when younger you end up losing contact with them slowly and in the end dont talk to them at all. but like i said with technology advancing and phones becoming capable of more staying in contact for 15+ years seems plausible. thing is ive always thought of this as a game. i dont mean just the actual game or stepping but everything as kind of like recess in real life.

Hmm.... Honestly, I see nothing 'childish' about this game so I could probably end up playing well into my adult years.

1 trillion points here I come.

          Yes, I do.

Stepmania and FFR are games that I do like to play, even if they don't have, uhh, rewards, aside of the Tier Points system, so yes, I see myself posting and playing in the next 10, 15 years. And it doesn't mean that I'll not have a life.

            Re: A question for everyone

After a decade of playing DDR/SM/FFR/etc, it's gotten old/boring to me. Most people I know who started alongside me have also quit by now. There are a few time-vets still around, but it seems like rhythm gaming has a rather moderate lifespan for most.

There are plenty of people I still talk to from these communities outside of this forum (many of which have migrated over to Kongregate, and even there I've started losing interest). At the end of the day, online communities have their own cycles. There are a few friends of mine from high school I'm friends with on Facebook but we still don't really "talk" much anymore, as we lead different lives.

            So, it's hard to say.

How long do you plan on playing FFR/Stepmania?
~Until I can't play anymore or until I get so bored with the game that it makes me sick. Either that or I'll end up teaching my kid and I'll be here all the time, competing with him/her XD

How long to you plan on stepping files for FFR/Stepmania?
~Until I run out of ideas.

How long do you plan on being a part of the rhythm game community on the internet and if applicable in real life?
~Probably the same as the first question.

                1. : I've been loosing interest over the past year or two. I don't think I've ever even played rhythm games competitively anyway. It's always been for fun.

                2. : Never have, never will have the time.

                3. : I don't know how long after I get into college.

Considering how internet is becoming more and more available every year, so as long as this site stays around (I sure it will) I don't see why I would forget about it considering how much I've been on here. I move around allot so friendships seem to last longer here than IRL.

                  Re: A question for everyone

Considering it doesn't really take much of a solid time commitment, as in I can stop and play for 10 minutes at a time if I want to, I will probably continue to play FFR for as long as I remain interested. I have a strong desire to become good at this game so I think I will be here for a while.

I would like to stick around for as long as possible so I don't really see anything in terms of age or something preventing me for coming here. And I hope that we can continue to bring in new generations of FFR players so that this site remains active continually!

How long do you plan on playing FFR/Stepmania?

This one I'm not really sure on. I'm up and down as it is when it comes to playing. I think I'll probably continue to play for fun for a long time but only like a few times a month or something like that.

How long to you plan on stepping files for FFR/Stepmania?

Heh as it is I've been unmotivated to step anything as of late. So this will also probably be on and off for me.

How long do you plan on being a part of the rhythm game community on the internet and if applicable in real life?

I will probably stay a part of the community for a long time. Most of the people I have met here I've become quite close to so I don't see myself disappearing from the community.

I don't want to leave this community... ever.

I went off for a while before the site went down, before there was hope of it coming back I was gutted I drifted away from it.

This time around I've made a lot more friends so have even more reason to stick around for ages.

I would only leave if I was was like 30 and everyone else was 25 or less, I'd feel weired lol

How long do you plan on playing FFR/Stepmania?
I have thought about this countless times, and to be honest, I will probably end up playing this game for a significant amount of time...probably at least into the 5 year mark. This is definitely odd for me, because until I began playing FFR/Stepmania, I usually just found something I was interested in and whored it until I was ridiculous at the game. Then left it in the dust for something else usually within 6 months to a year tops, once there was essentially nothing left to do I cared about. The thing about FFR and StepMania is, it doesn't seem to matter how much I put into it, I still enjoy it no matter how good I get. Maybe it's because there is always new stuff to do, or always more songs to try, more challenges, etc...I'm not sure. All I know is...it's going to keep me interested for much longer than anything else I've ever played game-wise.

How long to you plan on stepping files for FFR/Stepmania?
When I step, it's usually in a cluster and then I stop completely for a while. Stepping can be interesting, but I tend to side track myself and a lot of the time I just don't ever get a file done. Stepping will be something I will probably do once in a long while throughout my existence on these games.

How long do you plan on being a part of the rhythm game community on the internet and if applicable in real life?

Probably about as long as I am interested in rhythm games, which is probably a considerable amount of time considering I love everything about rhythm, music, and playing to the beat of things. FFR/SM are the most fun I have ever had with any rhythm game...so chances are if I lose interest in them, I will have lost a lot of interest in rhythm in general, which might break my ties to the rhythm game community.

How long do you plan on playing FFR/Stepmania?:

Been playing for 4 years and I've been trying to quit many times, but wanting to lose the dexterity that I have is almost impossible for me. If I came back from a year of not playing it'll be a waste of time for me to get it all back. Might keep playing for a few more years though.

How long to you plan on stepping files for FFR/Stepmania?:

Until I decide to quit rhythm games, I've been wanting to be a Dark/Light Chancellor for Stepmania and been wanting a file in FFR, mainly I'm lazy to finish one but I'd still be open to step anything. I've been wanting to develop my own kind of stepping style and I'm still trying to find that.

How long do you plan on being a part of the rhythm game community on the Internet and if applicable in real life?:

Been thinking about this, can't decide though. Maybe the same concept as the other 2 above, or I would quit rhythm games and still be posting and chatting with other people within whatever communities are out there.
