Is it the information being delivered important? Is it the delivery? Or is it the wit involved when replying to a post that you like?
I've come to realize that many forum users don't actually know how to post in a dignified, interesting manner without being arrogant or abrasive. Simple concepts like 'thinking before you type' and asking yourself, 'Would a person enjoy taking the time of their schedule to read through what I just wrote, or just make fun of me?' before pressing the Submit Reply button aren't taught by veteran posters. Instead, we laugh, troll, and try to be comedic! But even that's been disgraced due to the influx of people reading through unmentioned forum boards.
I'd like to know what you think before I post my own opinion. Tell me FFR, what makes a good post?
