Nope, makes it so you can play burned games on it and then there's another chip that you can get for it that makes it so you can play PS2 games on it.

well i have something were i dont even have to have the cd to play the game... i can rent a game, burn it straight to my xbox take the cd back to the store... and still have that game i took, and im able to play it... so ::sticks tongue out::

Ya,my uncle does that with PS2 games, and since it's from an original copy of the game you don't need a chip

umm..??? i dont have a burner.... cdr/rw or dvd???.... i just put the cd in my xbox and it copys straight to the hardrive... i got it enhanced so it can do that... i got a 120 gig hardrive in my box...
