    So you're trying to put a download page on your website, then. Do you know how to build webpages? Usually you don't hand-code pages from scratch. You'll need a basic web design program to build yourself some pages. Find one of those, go to a free template website and grab a design for your website, and then you'll be ready to start creating your page.

    Once you have that, you'll need to make a webpage called index.html and put it in the root folder of your FTP. Then build a few more pages, put them in that same folder, and link to them from your homepage. When you're done with that, create a subfolder in your FTP called /stepfiles or something like that, and upload all of your stepfiles into that folder. Once that's done, you can link to those files in your "downloads" page.

    That's probably too complicated, but let me know if that helps. It would be useful to know what tools you have and what you know about web development. Do you have a .com address? If not, what are you working with?

        I have a PDF file and some software you could use, can't give the links though here and you're going to need to torrent this software which I could show you how to do as well. PM me or add me on an IM Service if you want any of those.

                Basically I dont want pdf files though I dont think. I want to have files to where that little page comes up to save it on your comp or w/e like that and have it to where ppl can dl SM songs.

                    It sounds like you're in a little over your head. Have you considered using a free web service like angelfire or tripod? I haven't kept up on those types of sites, but they're easy to work with and are mostly self-explanatory.

                        No, it's a PDF manual to teach you how to use the software. It's what I'm using now and is very good. It's Dreamweaver CS3.

                            Like I said, using something like dreamweaver might be a little bit over the OP's head.

                                Tried them. Too confusing imo. Plus my dad already pays for having ftp or w/e... Godaddy. idk. But I already have a website, already have a design, have it ready all I need though is to find a code or whatever that enables me to have downloads on my website similar to how the website aethereality has theirs up and running to download website layouts. I simply want mine to be songs instead. But if you have aim I can show you what I have? Idk

                                        The manual makes it easy though. First you learn how to do it in notepad...just simple stuff, then you're slowly immersed into Dreamweaver.

                                                    Ok this sucks... When I do that, and I try clicking it, it always comes up with the FORBIDDEN page. Do you have aim? I think it's easier than forums in a way "/

                                                            Ok so is there a simple code that works when I upload it to my FTP server and will not pull up the Forbidden page anymore? It always says that I do not have access to a certain filepath when I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Please help? Just give a simple yes or no answer and if yes, how do I do it. My AIM sn is "abigailspiano" and I am usually on a lot during the day after 2pm (NV timing)
