Ok, so I have a website and I want to have things available to download. Can anyone help me out and tell me how to make that possible by using HTML code?

Upload them on megaupload or fileshare, and link them directly.
Unless you have a huge database of your own that's it.

I don't see how this is a HTML thing, a direct link would be fine. Or if you're trying to get a chunk of text to link to something, you'd use:
<a href="http://www.url-goes-here.com">Link text</a>
for it to appear like this: Link text
To have an image link to something you would use:
<a href="http://www.url-goes.here.com"><img src="http://www.url-goes-here.com/image.jpg"></a>
for it to appear like this:
Otherwise, be more specific.

I would ask if you're talking about FTPing things to the website, but that sounds beyond you..

Alright, instead of being more infuriated, let me first apologize for being a bit too harsh. What I am asking for is for you to be specific. I would be more than happy to help you (I have a good 8 years of web design under my belt) and it looks like there are others who are knowledgeable as well. But in order for anyone to help you, you need to be specific and let people know exactly what you are trying to do. Please try to do that when you first post, so we don't have to drag it out of you like pulling teeth out through your rear-end..

Ok I do not know how to explain this very well... This is how I will explain in my way:
1. Go to aethereality.net
2. Click on Designs
3. And click download on any of the layouts.
That is what I want to do on my website but with stepfiles. Does that make sense?Comment
