    Re: Google launching internet browser.

    Here's a pro-con list I found:

    Pros:
    ****ing fast
    Simple interface
    Sexy text searching
Opera-like new-tab page with frequently visited websites
Options are really simple and easy to navigate
    Download management is good
    Familiar hotkeys

    Cons:
Seems to lock up for 5 sec every now and then (I'm guessing this is when it refreshes the data for the frequently visited websites page
No way to view RSS feeds in the browser? Seems to want you to use google reader (part of a google account). Lame. I liked FireFox's live bookmarks.
No progress bar when loading a page.
    Loads .gifs extremely slow
    No Extensions

Also, I usually watch tv shows on a website which uses a kind of "Helper" Javascript tool to enable me to watch. The pop-up that comes up asking for permission doesn't appear at all, thus rendering the whole website useless in Chrome.

      Lol, Pokeball.

With that aside, I might try it but I'm pretty sure Firefox will continue to be the best browser.

Um, ok. May I help you?
Yes, I am going to need some more information. What is your social security, work hours, sperm count, sexual orientation, and hours of absence from your home?

Yeah, HUGE difference in the lag between Chrome and FF/IE on Vista for me. I still get bs goods everywhere, no where near the amount before, though. Oh well, still not good enough

                Re: Google launching internet browser.

So far this seems to have most everything I liked about Firefox, I don't play FFR anyways so I don't know nor care if it handles that differently.

I do like that it's got essentially the same Porn Mode as IE8 is supposed to have, GOIN INCOGNITO.

My only complaint so far is I really liked Firefox's "search while you type" feature and this doesn't seem to have anything similar.

But all in all for a beta I'm pretty pleased.

Not typing an address, typing on a page and it searching the page for that text.
Basically all it did was save you from typing Ctrl + F but come on who wants to hit two extra keys.

                    Re: Google launching internet browser.

FFR completely freezes every minute, but pages do load a lot faster than any other browser I've used. Maybe if it gets some java support (couldn't play RuneScape!) & the flash issues are fixed I'll have a nice new browser to use.
