Google launching internet browser.

I am not sure if this is old news here i did a quick search and did not find anything.

So apparently Google are launching a browser called "Chrome" to compete with IE, and FF.

Anyone know any more information?

I'm actually not surprised they're making a browser, if anything I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner. I don't think it will take me away from my FF though ;3

I've been looking at the logo for the like the past 15 hours and I never thought that... but it does.

I'm actually pumped about it and have been waiting to download it since hours ago.

I love Firefox and all, but the temptation of isolated tabs - thus no entire browser crash, is going to entice me to at least try it out.

Why is it a stupid name? Do you know why it's called chrome? I'm not an expert, but I do know the term "chrome" is used in coding or something like that.

Did you read the part where they had to develop and code it from scratch? That generally delays a release.

I get MAJOR lag when I try to play FFR.


This may just be ignorance on my part but if it's open source won't it be easier for people to figure out how to get around sandboxing?

Or is the point of sandboxing that nothing can get around it?
