    You silly people. Vista lags not because of it's video requirements (although good video is helpful to eliminating the lag), but it lags because of DRM. DRM stands for digital rights management, and it is constantly scanning your computer at all times for illegal music/files, and when your computer runs processor-taxing programs, it takes up anywhere from 5-80% of your processor usage. THIS is the reason vista lags. I'm not getting it until XP dies or vista takes it out.

        @Nyokou: Vista is really meant for medium to high end computers at the time. This happens with every OS that comes out. Companies just jam the newest ones on when they really shouldn't if the computer couldn't take it.
        Yeah, I noticed that about the new Mac OS (Leopard)

        Took up tons of space on my dad's new computer. x_x He bought an external 500 gig HD for it.. :/ Well, I guess with Vista you'd need a REALLY good computer then, right?

            I have Vista. FFR runs smoother than my family PC downstairs that has XP. In fact. I haven't encountered anything XP handle better than Vista so far. Early days though, only had this PC for a month.

                                Basically get 1tb of space.

                                Partition C: = 500gb (Windows XP 32 bit)
                                Partition D: = 500gb (Windows Vista 32bit)

                                Use Vista for gaming, use XP for all your regular work.
