I type however. I just hit the keys as my hands go.

I started out with the peck-typing then got quickly tired of hunting for keys at night when I was trying to search for things like "Hot Asian MILF".

I've been using home-row for years now which has got me up to 110-130wpm.

I'd like to try DVORAK but I'm not sure if once I learned that setup, if it would make my QWERTY typing go to ****.

I usually type with both hands, but if I'm multitasking I often type with one hand. I'm obviously slowing at typing with one hand but it's a nice skill to have especially when you can do it without errors faster than hunting and pecking. I honestly don't even know if I type with both hands correctly to be honest. I type tons every day at school and at home. I just kinda know where each key is and can hit them with different fingers if I want.

Don't, it'll **** up your typing and it's just a marginal speed increase. Not worth it lol.

Yeah, it's very restricting. But I honestly couldn't imagine typing any other way. Everything flows perfectly when I type that way. It definitely would take time to develop muscle memory, but again... you're one of the last people I would have to begin lecturing the entire concept of muscle memory development to :P

But yeah, I think in the long run it DEFINITELY helps increase typing speed and keyboard comfortableness in general.

I type with my index and middle fingers from each hand, each handle one side of the keyboard, I can type rather fast this way. I CAN type without looking down at the keyboard, but I have a habit to look down at it whenever I type things.

Testing typing without looking down at keyboard...backspaces: 2, completed in about 5 seconds.

I'm right handed and I had to type with my left hand only for a couple weeks when I was in 9th grade because I had a splint on my right elbow. Also wrote with my left hand a little during that time. After I got my splint off, I started throwing with my left hand when I played baseball (helped when I was pitching and when I started getting cramps in the right arm).

My left hand uses all 5 fingers..

My right hand only uses the index + middle finger.
