I use my right thumb to space, both index fingers and both middle fingers. Nothing else... I think. I can type fast so I don't care.

I learned how to type the right way but I've deviated a little over the years. I can type quickly, but it's so true that once you develop bad habits it's very difficult to break them.

Middle, index and ring fingers for typing. Thumbs for space and pinky for shift. It's always worked that way.
I can't really type fast (being dyslexic) unless it's numbers on the numb pad.

I don't know why it surprises me so much that people don't type the "proper" way. I'm beginning to think there isn't even a such thing a proper way to type. Although I would just assume keyboards were designed to be used a certain way. I guess I'm just used to it. We learned how to type as early as 4th grade, so it's nothing new to me. I type the way a blind person is taught to type. I use the home row method as well as the little tick marks on "F" and "J" in order to type efficiently. But to each his own

I use all my fingers and I use them well.

I wasn't taught (figured it out for myself) and I got my speed from having to keep up with multiple tasks at once (chatroom(s), IM protocols, multiple characters in a play-by-post roleplay, et cetera.).

I use the "proper" home-row method and type about 115WPM or so on average.

I use the "Proper" way cause I was always forced to in Elementary on some "Type 2 Learn" program... god I hated that.

I use all the fingers on my left hand (Pinky for shift, thumb for space, and my ring finger for the A key, as far as I can tell. plus my middle and index taking up the rest of the slack.) On my right hand I use just about only my index finger and whatever you'd call the finger after the middle to press enter. That's it.

My typing is great....
I use my index and middle fingers on my left hand, pinky is always used for shift.
I hit any buttons on the right half of the keyboard with my middle finger, save backspace and enter which I hit with my right pinky. I always hit enter with my right middle finger.

Sometimes if I am simply hitting the enter key by itself (not during excessive typing) I will use my middle finger. Like for example to chat in a game called Vindictus, to bring up the box to type in you must first press enter so I would use my middle finger there.

Hmm what else do I do.... I think that is basically it. And I keep this style religiouslyand will never comprimise it for anything when typing.

I also keep a 55-65 words per minute which I find is really good comparatively to most people with abstract styles like mine. I type as fast as a lot of people I know who use the "proper" typing method.

Though with the ammount of time it takes for my right hand to jump to the space bar every word, I can only type so fast and will not likely exceed this word per minute ever. I am completely happy with my typing speed though, it's fast, but not uber-fast.

As a child my parents (and school) tried to force me to learn to type the "proper" way. Thought I BS'd all of that crap. When my parents found out they thought I would never be a good typer because of it, and look where I am today.

Oh and generally I am not looking at the keyboard. I might glance down every so often but not consciously pecking keys. If I repeatedly miss a letter I will look and correct myself as well.

I don't put my fingers onto the keys until I have to type. I usually don't have to look at the keyboard, but when I do it makes me type so much faster so I have no idea what type you'd call me typing. I mainly use my middle and ring on the left hand. I usually use my middle and thumb on my left hand because I use my thumb to hit the space mainly.
