It seems that everything in America starts young. Sex, drugs (If you remember the report of toddlers being taught how to smoke weed), violence (A video of toddlers being urged to fight each other, with one of the parents calling them "******"), and now obesity apparently.

That's obviously a genetic defect or difference*. Most likely passed down from her parents and combined in such a way that resulted in that disaster.

I'm sure it's more than genetic also, the parents could have easily toned down her diet.

I was thinking the exact opposite. Yeah, maybe she has the "genetic defect" of obesity, but that alone would not make her 400 pounds at age seven. That could make her 100 pounds on a regular diet, maybe. What I was thinking was that she must have the type of parents that have no spine at all. They give her whatever she wants, and that just happens to be fatty foods. I think while the girl is at the pediatric hospital, the parents need to go see someone who can show them that it is not always the right thing to give your kid everything he/she wants.

I don't think it is only the parents fault, or even their fault at all. If a child is 200 pounds at age 5, there is a much bigger problem then what she is eating.
