I've seen too many unlabeled spoilers in the past page and a half. If you feel like you must post the answer to something, warn beforehand. Not to mention these kind of games are the games that spoilers are near non-existent, because the people who play them generally HATE them.

Now for a question of my own - On the crossword level do the blank spaces have a siginificance? I was thinking those were where the X's could go.

I had the same problem. It might help to move the pieces off the screen a bit so you can see all the letters under and see if you can get a lead.
