My own two cents:
I agree that the pressure to be "in love" nowadays is insane. Look at any form of media. Magazines? "How to please your lover" "[insert movie star couple here] go on a romantic gettaway" TV? You can't find hardly any television programs that don't have kissing in it all the time. That'd be okay to an extent, but not when it's gratuitous as often shown. The internet is terrible when it comes to issues of morality. You can't even do an image search on google without some sort of porn showing up.

People have lost sight of how to care about others without caring for them "in that way", if you know what I mean.
