That may be so, but firefox wasn't the problem with your "lag", run spyware apps, something fishy is going on, and it' aint the fox.
I ran Adaware, Trojan Remover, and a full AVG computer scan.
Nothing.
My computer is fine now, the way it used to be, now that i'm using Opera.
It was Firefox, and you can't argue against it.
But I can
There is no way firefox could've caused those problems UNLESS you messed with core settings. By any chance did you go into about:config and change things around? Otherwise it's a computer problem.
My computer was fine, and is fine. Nothing happened to it at all except Firefox kept screwing it up. Every time I tried to open Firefox my whole computer froze and I couldn't restart it, i had to hold down the On button until it turned off. Tell me how there CAN be a computer problem when my computer is working so well right now with Firefox removed?
It's NOT a computer problem.

Just that you're a piece of shit who can't see reason and instead deserves a fucking beating.

Something was conflicting, it wasn't a core firefox problem.
I found her problem, it's a result of her dad's bad surfing habbits, will have it fixed in a jiffy (That's 1/100 of a second for those of you who didn't do the snapple trivia thing)
I just came back home and do what I normally do: start WMP and then FF. WMP took about a second or two to load... understandable. The computer was just booting. When it was finished and I clicked the FF icon, it took a FULL MINUTE to start the application. The program is screwed up. It is not the computer and it is not spyware or adware. You know me well enough to know that I will know when I have a virus or any form of spyware on my machine.
And yes, I've cleared all the prefetches except for FFs to see if it runs a little better and it does not. I am reverting back to Opera right after I unpack all my stuff.
This did happen to me, but I found out that it was one of my extensions called SwitchProxy. All you had to do was turn off Check for Updates and it worked again. But this is only the problem for you if you downloaded SwitchProxy.
If firefox goes awry, it's because of corrupt profile data. Uninstalling the program doesn't remove the profile data. You have to delete C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox manually and then reinstall firefox to resolve the problems. It's a fairly obscure problem, but it's one of the few I've ever experienced with the latest version of Firefox.
It's really silly to pidgeonhole the blame on a single program just because you don't know how to solve the problem (and don't know how to find out for that matter).
Shut up RadioLegit, it was Firefox that was screwing up my computer and the program that came along with it. That doesn't make it NOT Firefox. My computer is better without it.

Okay fine, Firefox is wrong. It's the one crashing, so it couldn't possibly be the fact that your computer is infested with malware because of other people using it. Nope, no doubt at all about that. It's Firefox.
