Yesterday, I'm not sure what happened but it deleted all of my cookies and bookmarks. It gave me some message saying that my default user was already being used so I had to make a new one, and there is no menu or anything for a user. I'm sooo lost lol.

that happens when you manually exit firefox ( the X) and firefox.exe stays in your process list. so when you run firefox again, it thinks its a multiple copy of firefox so its askin which profile do u wanna use lol. to fix that just ctrl+alt+delete (Task Manager) and End the Process firefox.exe. then restart firefox. problem solved.


AND JURS IS RIGHT. Firefox has been causing problems for me lately too. it never used to....sometimes, when i use it, everythings all goody goody...but then my computer RANDOMLY freezes. and i mean freezes. i cant click anything on my task bar, nothing. i honestly have to hold down my computer's on button to manually shut down my computer and restart it. This only happens when i have Firefox on, or when i wanna browse for something on firefox and i click on it and it freezes up. this isn't a virus it has to be a firefox problem. Jurs i agree with you 100%. Go Opera.

I havent touched FireFox in a while. I'll test it out, see if it has a problem.

My computer has not had a problem in so long. Between AdAware, Spybot S&D, XCleanerMicro, and HyjackThis, nothing gets through, or lasts long enough to do anything.

Firefox works good for me.

The single problem I have with it is that sometimes it crashes, and when it crashes, you have to go ctrl+alt+del and kill the process, or you're greeted with the "make a profile" window.

heh. Well, I've been having problems with firefox as well. And it seems that Jursey is just being ignorant, b/c it was almost certainly some spyware/virus which caused the problem. It was for me. And then whatever it was moved on to uninstall windows, or at least delete most of the files. Which obviously explains why I have been on in a week or so (I'm at home now). But anyways, Jursey, just reinstall FF. You said you had it for a while and it worked fine. So now you'll use Opera for a while and something will screw it up, and you'll move onto another...But anyways. If you liked FF when it was working, then just reinstall.

To have someone back up all my files it's 100 dollars a gig. I have 30 gigs + discount from Dell. Still, i'm not paying 2,800 dollars for it. Well, I might, but my dad won't.
