I've always thought of the Pope as a sort of mascot for Christianity. Maybe that's why his appearance bothers everyone so much.

Golly, people are getting upset over the fact that not everyone loves the new Pope. Everyone is still entitled to their own opinion, even in religion.

I personally think that if we follow the new Pope, we'll all be turned to the dark side of the force.

The Germans had the distinctive spiked helmets in World War I. The spikes often broke or were shot off or otherwise destroyed, and the Germans saw how impractical the spike was. Such spiked helmets were not used in subsequent wars, and if you really knew anything about history, you'd know that the Nazis reigned during World War II. As such, Nazi zombies would have normal helmets, not spiked ones. Not that they would need helmets, since they're zombies and all.

And I've never seen the Pope as the mascot for Christianity. I see the Pope as the stupidest load of crap ever, because I think Catholicism is the most perverted form that Christianity has taken, yet it's reigned supreme for so long (which makes it all the worse that it's so dumb). But this isn't a thread for debating how stupid Catholicism is, it's for bashing the new pope until he does something cool, like build a death star. And he'll need to hurry if he plans to face this:

You guys are being downright offensive when you're calling the Pope a Sith, cannibal, Nazi, etc. Show a little bit of class, restraint, and sensibility here. I don't care if "appearance is everything" in our society, it's just that there are PLENTY of things to discuss about the new pope other than what he looks like. I'll be the first to admit the new Pope isn't very good-looking, but when you call him the things you have called him above you are being extremely insensitive and offensive. Right now I'm feeling very ashamed of FFR - I thought you guys were more mature than this.

Hmm... Well, I know he's not really a Sith. I'm sorry I failed to point that out. He's not really a Dark Lord. He was actually a defector during WWII, meaning he was against the Nazi's, which was practically suicide. And I'm damned sure most Catholics are cannibals: Body of Christ, anyone? Blood of Christ, how about?

I don't see why you can make fun of the President, you can make fun of celebrities, but when you make fun of the Pope, you become the scourge of FFR.

Because he's the Pope. You're talking about the spiritual leader of 1.1 billion people. We look up to this guy like he's our grandfather.

Plus, you can't make fun of a good man without being cruel. It's like making fun of Todd Beamer or Mother Theresa. Why? What's the point? Ego inflation? Trying to make yourself look superior?

Instead of making fun of great people, become great yourself.
