You can have the Flu, or any of the symptoms and test positive for it but not have it...most positives are false. They havent come up with an accurate test yet.
An RN that im close with here said that she knows someone here who has been testing positive for it since april, over and over but doesnt actually have it.

Thats false information proven to not be true. They paid to be the top result.
The tests do not work, its too new. Taking a blood sample or sticking something up your nose cannot be effective for something thats new.
If it was less than 5%, then why has someone here been testing positive for 5 months?
They are saying that college students are now getting it and that couldnt be further from the truth. Its been proven that its near impossible for them to get it...and next to impossible to pass it on if you are asymptomatic.

Yet they are trying to scare us by saying you NEED to wear a mask and social distance yet the WHO only said between you and people who have symptoms, not everyone.... Also the CDC has stated multiple times that you dont need to do both, just one or the other.

If you wanna play the whole "I know someone with medical knowledge" my mum is a nurse practitioner which trumps your RN and she says both of your posts are bullshit.

I hope your RN friend is removed from the profession, that shit scares me more than anything else. Thankfully my mum's coworkers are sensible people and taking the virus and protocols seriously. Otherwise I would be worried sick for her

I dont wear a mask and i havent "infected" anyone...nobody in my family has been sick, including my grandma, nobody. The whole thing is a joke. I havent been sick in nearly 18 years, why would i worry about some virus thats irrelevant and harmless? lol

Also, i have plenty of close friends and family who work at the hospital here. The RN im speaking about has been in the field for over 15 years, so im pretty sure she knows what she is talking about lol

Yall can be scared for the rest of your lives, but im not falling for it XD

and have you thought for a second that anecdotal evidence isn't enough to disprove a statistic? with regards to what your rn friend said, we're not even considering if your friend's telling the truth, if your friend is delivering the test the right way, or if the batch of tests that your friend got is faulty. like this is poor reasoning skills on your part. and then how do you think that just because neither YOU nor your family were infected, that on a global scale, covid ain't that big of a deal

true as this is, anyone who finds a modicum of credibility in a post like that at this point is well beyond saving. some people just want to be belligerent and create their own indignation. advocating for apathy is probably not the best thing to do in the middle of a global pandemic that's descending into winter months, but when you're confronted with someone who is so deeply entrenched in the illusion that they're sovereign that they manufacture the idea that they're superior because they endanger other lives, what else can you do?

I found out my step uncle died from it recently and no one knew it was due to covid because my step aunt didn't believe that it was true
