Don't be afraid to do what makes you happy. If you enjoy the show, then I think it's fine to keep watching it. If other people don't accept your hobby, then it's their loss. Maybe you'll even find a friend who enjoys the same hobbies you do.

So what you're saying is, you are afraid of people disliking how you spend your down time? If this is the case, why? You do things in your personal time for you, and you alone. It is nonsensical to be concerned with approval for something which only really needs to concern you. Also, why would you tell anyone if you were concerned about such disapproval? If you happen to do something, you don't have to tell people about it.

Like anything else, if you bring it up at inopportune times, or start referencing it when no one else knows what you're talking about, you'll probably get some backlash. If people genuinely are attempting to make you feel insulted over something as trivial as watching a cartoon, that is rather pathetic though. I can't imagine such people would be worth associating with if they aren't even able to handle people doing something so minor.

i can tell you this much right now, whenever my little pony friendship is magic came out, it swept across the internet like wildfire. despite the demographic being intended for little girls (probably debatable), it found its way to a lot of males aged 13-35. even here on ffr there's team pony, and there was a my little pony friendship is magic thread that gained like 200k views or something; it was dedicated to appreciation and discussion of the show. you're far from being the only person interested in the show. i like the show and i'm a 22 year old male, it's not something i bring up to everyone i meet; personally because i don't like to be considered a brony. i like the show, i won't try to convince anyone to watch it if they don't seem interested, and that's generally a good way to approach anything. like you won't ever be able to get me to like country music for example.
