        This is a classic example of time dilation at constant acceleration and deceleration. DDReam applies the following algorithm to equalize the sinusoidal inconsistencies of time itself across the fabric of space time, generating an absolute sync (not yet fully understood and appreciated by the rhythm gaming community as a whole).

                As it's been said, ddream's UI is more intuitive, with the keyboard shortcuts and mouse functionality. I tidy up my BPMs before I send file, and I'd leave a note in the review asking the stepper to do so, too. It helps to keep a copy of the cleaned up BPMs open in another text file to paste back into the .sm after saving. The extra bytes don't matter when converted into an .ffr file, but for an SM pack submission, yeah, clean is nice.

                For anyone who doesn't know, ddream stores beat locations on samples. So for the typical 44100 Hz .mp3, you'll get a nice constant BPM as long as it divides evenly into 2646000. For example, at 145 BPM, it has to choose between 18248 and 18249 samples per beat, thus alternating between 145.002192 and 144.994246 BPM (though ddream rounds to three decimal places).

                P.S. Middie, what problem are you having with copying and pasting in ddream? There's an option for switching between paste overwriting or merging. The keyboard shortcuts work like normal, except to copy from one file into another, you have to open the second file over the first: the clipboard data doesn't carry over between windows.

                      There is literally no reason that the bpm flutter should be retained from ddream files. You can fix it in like 30s in notepad if you have bpm changes, or you can just save it as static bpm if it only has one bpm. DDream isnt the problem, lazy steppers are.

                      You know what else is annoying? SM Editor elitists.

                        Let us look at the best example (in my opinion) of "generic" simfile making. Icyworld. This one person is renowned as a jumpstream stepping master. (From what I gather.) He leads and organizes the "Nuclear Blast" packs which mostly consists of jumpstream files (assuming you knew this but on chance you're new and live under a rock, there you go.)

                        We're going to compare three (despite there being many more, but due to my lack of stepmania knowledge I don't know any other names off the top of my head) of his charts at specific times to denote how much he charts JS
