Earth's still pretty good. I wonder what the estimated cost of this would be (can I count the trillions of dollars with my two hands?)

I mean it would be cool but pretty unnecessary right now. Why plan to send people before having an elaborate ecosystem and architecture built on the planet with sustaining sources of energy/food/water?

On the one hand, it could be to weed out the 4channers. On the other hand, it DOES kinda smell fishy.

As much as I want to believe that this is for real (seriously, designing life support so people can survive the trip is the hard part, best to get that out of the way first), I just can't. Maybe it's that cynical old man in me starting to rear his bald head.
