well I personally like social networking because I filter through the bullshit, but there are soooo many stupid people on facebook, I agree completely on that. You just have to ignore them and find cool people who you know in real life that are not fake.

Facebook creeping whether you want to see it that way or not, is stalking. It's not normal, it's not healthy even, and it's detrimental to the way we communicate and converse today. People identify in a certain way with their profile and the way they are perceived, and the way they *feel* they are perceived on facebook, and I strongly believe it's harmful to the progression of a world where we can better use the technological tools we have to communicate, where we instead use to feed our egos and perceptions of self worth.

That (some) people don't realize it's basically a public forum.

And obviously the idiocy, but one must look at oneself and determine why one has those people as "friends".

As much as you hate the facebook twats who need to get real, you'll learn to filter through it. I used to get angry about the same kind of stuff, but I just found friends who were real and didn't give a damn about all of that. You'll get through it, ohaider.

This is one the reasons why facebook is so popular.

I hate what social networking is doing to our society as a whole. A lot of the behavior that social networking has made acceptable, i find disgusting. At least the name is honest... FACEbook... its all just a giant facade. take a deeper look and you'll find manipulative business men, surveillance programs, and a plethora of other things aiming to turn everyday people against each other... 1984 comes to mind. It allows people with lots of money to have almost complete control over the media that people are exposed to, thus promoting an agenda that keeps the rich, rich and everybody else stupid. The worst part about it is that people are CHOOSING to do this to themselves. They WANT to be a part of facebook, because everybody else is(oh no i dont want to be left out) and the media is cramming it down our throats every second of the day..."like us on facebook" "join us on facebook" "sell us your soul on facebook" People are too ignorant and misled to realize just what the current direction of social networking is heading towards. i dont know what will come of all this but i do know that it is not good for the human race and needs to be destroyed

i realize a lot of the problems i mentioned go a lot deeper than facebook but facebook still needs to be DESTROYED(along with a lot of other things) if there is any hope for the future of humanity(there might not be any hope) You can help by deleting your facebook!!!
