Bought my fourth vehicle....

So, I bought my fourth vehicle in less than a year today...

Got a little 2005 Pontiac Sunfire for 2500$.

I never realized how much I loved my 1994 Honda Accord until I drove this piece of shit. Too bad i'm selling my Honda for 150 bucks and a bicycle.

Terrible. I feel like im trapped in a cucoon...

It has two massive fuccen dents on the driver's side.

But, its lowish mileage (164xxx) and it'll hopefully get me to Calgary in the fall for school.

I go through vehicles too fast...

Someone buy it off me plz I don't lyke.

I used to own a 2000 Chevy Silverado and before that I owned a 1997 GMC with the sickest muffler and subs ever.

Moral of the story: Cars are stupid and you should buy a truck.

And they don't do shit all but sit there drive you places and then break down and die.

EDIT: @WC I have never been in an accident though. I just have terrible luck with buying a perfectly good car then having it break down on me a week later. So I sell.

That's your problem right there. Don't buy a used vehicle that has already largely exhausted its lifespan. A problematic car with many future repairs is far more costly than a near-new one, even if said new one is more expensive at purchase price.

edit: you may not have been in any accident, but your vehicle's past history may have. You probably know this already, but check the history of whatever you're looking at. It may save you the trouble of finding out that you're potentially buying a crap car.

164xxx aint that much, sure it's relatively high but not excessive. My Honda has 300xxx and is still running. It's also in KMs not miles.

Of course I'm referring to kilos. What you need is a vehicle with something like 75,000 km or lower.

@wc: it is a lot when you put long-term considerations into question. Summary: think long-term. Shitty car would be more problematic and cost more in the long run. Don't start off with high or even moderately high mileage.

164 really isnt a lot and its nowhere near the end of its lifespan or close to it needing a ton of repairs.

EDIT: Especially with the prices of vehicles up here I saw of 2004 Sunfire with 120xxx KMS selling for 5g

I would. But, I do live in a hicktown and trucks are where the money is made. No one wants to go 4x4ing down a muddy road in a shitty car to get to work everyday on the rigs.

lmao 164xxxkm is not that much really. I just bought a 178xxx MILES car for 2k, but the history of the car is good and I know that it was well taken care of before. Used to have an 86 Toyota truck, thing had nearly 300k miles on it lmaooo. Still ran, but I wouldn't trust it for long trips.
