So, Chaos world is here, events are going on, and I'm having a good time. At first I made a Pirate, but after getting bored with it, I decided to do something nostalgic. See, when I first played MapleStory (i.e., the first, FIRST time I ever started playing MapleStory), the first class I ever made was a Bowman. But, being as I was new, I easily majorly screwed up my AP beyond repair. That, of course, was remedied after some research and going for different classes. So, for nostalgic reasons, I started a Bowman. Though, it's been quite different; I certainly do not remember 1st job having a mobbing skill (Arrow Blow), let alone any real actual skills to use outside of maybe Double Shot.

Don't make a bowman! They redid the3rd job arrow rain/eruption mobbing skills and they are now way too slow to be useful. If my Wind Archer didn't have wind pierce, i would have quit it immediately after finding out the change. That's just my opinion though, so if you like the class and aren't bothered with it then go ahead.

They need to release another half day long 2x event like they did a while back. During that time, they also need to make all the lag go away and all the DC crashing etc. non existent.
Probably asking too much since it's never going to happen.

Due to the recent server issues everyone who logged into MapleStory the past two days got a free 5,000 MaplePoints as compensation. I'm going to save mine until after I get all the boom up perma CS items (so I can make a decision as to what I want), or maybe even wait until there are new CS items and get something permanently. Not a bad thought to make considering that 5,000 MP can get you a good bit of stuff from the cash shop. I'll probably get the one-time discount package as well if I have enough left over depending on what I get.

Also, decided I'm going to swap out my pirate for a Cygnus pirate.

Okay so after everyone in the game telling me how bad my mech is going to be nerfed at chaos...

I really don't see much of a difference at all really. The cooldown on rock and shock is now much higher, but that's the only noticeable difference. Oh and normal shots in tank mode now cost mp, but that's negligible. Level 162 now.

I made a DB for my free lvl 50 character, haven't used it yet though.
Also made a lvl 30 Evan for the event going on.

Ps. Evans are the most boring pieces of shit ever.

So. Longing for games to play I started Maplestory since I've heard about it for years but never tried it. To me, it's a very... busy game for lack of a better term. It's very colorful and there are TONS of NPCs to talk to. Right now I've just been trying to do quests as I get them, which seems to be constantly.. I don't usually get confused with games, but there's just a lot to take in..

Of course, beginner and developing play is always different from high-level play - so I'm curious as to what high-level/experienced player play consists of. Just wondering so I have something to look forward to after this hump.

People here seem pretty friendly. I've done a few zruns. I have my Berserk30 book, but can't seem to find a 20 anywhere

Hello fellow maplers
Phleg, if you're looking for zerk 20 the only way youre going to get it is to luck out on secret skill books or buy it in FM.
Also I finally got my DrK to 150 and almost 151. I'm finally purple and 3/4ths of the way done with the character.
