This scene you see here is known as the Lockdown phase. Usually the aliens have 3 hives, and have pushed back the marine team so far that they are pinned down at their spawn point. This lockdown phase can last for HOURS, but eventually the aliens win because the marines can't go outside their spawn area without getting owned. Sometimes a marine can sneak past the aliens unnoticed, and the commander may give him and Command Chair and Infantry Portal for a relocation of their base. While sometimes the relocation is successful, I have never seen the marine team make a spectacular comeback to win after avoiding a lockdown phase. While the end is very predictable, many people enjoy this phase because it's very action packed.
Cool beans. The google search was doing me no justice :P.
If you suck at video games, don't bother reading this review because this game is hard and I don't want whining retards who can't pass the first level bitching to me about it. When I say this game is hard, I mean hard like nipples-on-a-blind-lesbian-in-a-fish-market hard.
766,507 people bought Ikaruga only to find out that they suck at video games.
I'd post some NS pics, but those usually come out bad due to the gamma effect used in-game that doesn't transfer to the screenshots. Here are some from Hostile Intent and Sacrifice
Curlydave, and everyone else, in the future, resize your screenshots and host them instead of posting them as attachments so the entire screen isn't stretched out. Also, don't post 80 million, and try to post screenshots that have a point =p.
Here's a few of my favorite America's Army screenshots.
This first one is one of my favorites. The soldier is staring at his target, and the concentration on his face as he grips his gun, his only solace, is real.
This enemy is caught dead between my sights. I grabbed this shot just before I pulled the trigger.
This next shot captures the epic nature of the game. A lone soldier, the one last one of his squad, waits, alone and afraid, waiting for the enemy to appear so he can make one last stand for his life, and for freedom.
This next screen displays the last image burned on the back of this terrorist's retinas.
What had happened is that the technicians that installed the bigscreen TV up there wanted to test it out to make sure it worked by playing a little Ut2k3. It seems to work quite well.
I wish i had screen of NS. lol omega.. onos in your base.... poor you. NS is a really cool game but most of the time the commader is an asshole and marines always lose.... unless aliens suxor and cant get a hive before the marines relocate.... anyways. I'll post some screen of "The Specialists" wich is also a really cool HL mod. Its based on the matrix, but its much harder than CS since you acn do like backflip, stuns rolls and stuff. And you also have slowmo and high jump. VERY cool but VERY hard.
Truth lies in loneliness, When hope is long gone by -Blind Guardian, The Soulforged Image removed for size violation.
Its not based off The Matrix. Believe me, the first thing they tell you in the TS Forums is that its not a Matrix Mod.
Used to play TS nonstop, but after the latest version came out, something...Changed. Suddenly, going unarmed or with only a katana became suicidal. I couldn't keep up with the pace of the game in the previous version, and in the latest version, it seemed like...like everything was too slow. Or something. Im not sure. But I dont play it as often anymore. Though I still enjoy Kung-Fu Only servers.
*ahem*
As far as Coms go...There's a reason you can eject them. Also, youre not being fair. Ever try going on a clan server(like Freak83's COUGH COUGH)? The atmosphere is mostly friendly and the relationship between Com and rine is tight, and the Com usually knows what he's doing. Youve just had some bad experiences.
Umm if its not based on "The Matrix" it really looks like it. The player models... agent, morpheus, neo.... and the maps... lobby. Meh there is even a slow mo... anyways. I took some ingame screens of people playing in the map "TS_Lobby"
