let me put it this way: in the demo levels, u cant really do anything. in the downloads, it said "Half Life 2 Beta" but it's not even a beta. the enemies dont attack, gunfire doesnt leave bullet holes, only about 6 levels actually work, and about a billion other things are wrong with it. despite this huge lack of anything to do or anything that works, i played around in the test maps for a few weeks, just walking around looking at stuff. usually a full game cant entertain me that long, but just these barely working levels could. the game is friggin sweet by graphics alone, and with the mods that are probably gonna come out...*drools*

personally, i cant wait to see Natural Selection using the Half Life engine. but when is the thing coming out? the hacking and the leaking and all that really slowed it down, but that was a long time ago. are there any estimate as of yet about when the thing is coming out? b/sc i really really wanna get it, especially after playing those crappy levels.

A) Get that thing the hell off your computer. If you dont want to, you can at least do B.
B) Get those pictures off now. I feel unclean having seen them before others.
C) Come on, everyone else is waiting their turn for it to come. Why can't you? Please do A and/or B.
D) I also look foward to Natural Selection on HL2.

A) why get it off my computer? it's not like that will help anything.
B) why is seeing those pictures is any worse than seeing pics or movies from E3? the only thing that is available to downloaders are the test levels they showed at E3 and such, so this is really nothing new. you could probably find similar screenshots, or at least screenshots of the same sorts of things, somewhere else.
C) i'm very impatient. besides, the test levels suck. i think of it more as playing a demo than stealing the game. i'm gonna buy the game, honestly. i was going to before, but now i'm DEFINITLY going to. i am waiting patiently for the game to come out, seriously.

game companies dont go after individuals for getting the thing, they go after those that distribute it. i'm not giving it out to people, and i will buy the game as soon as i can, which will make what i have no basically legit. hell, if they come to my house and try and get me for it, i will offer to pre-pay for the game, because i KNOW i'm gonna get it.

Feuergeist, damn dude. Reminds of the time when me and 10 other buddies had a huge LAN match, infinite time limit with 215 lives for each person, on SpaceNox. It was insane, and guess who won? Muah. Came to a really close fight between me and a Warcow.

I said I would have Rise of Nations screens. I had to actually care enough to beat the game first.

The premise of the Conquer the World mission was simple: You start with an army on your capital country and the objective is to take over the entire world. Simple enough. You move your army into enemy territory to declare war and then enter a battle. You have to develop technologically and militarily faster than the opponent to win. The way to win each battle is to capture their capital city. After the win you claim the territory and every other nation gets their turn. But the fun part is that every 3 turns you age advance and thus have to adjust for the times. This includes the addition of a Navy or maybe having to acquire Oil as another resource.

My game as the Americans was pretty easy. I took out the natives in the US first then swept south through Mexico. By the time I got to Central America I had taken out 3 nations. South America was another nation taken relatively quickly. The British attacked me from Greenland but I defended and pushed them back to their capital. I took that next turn and made 5 eliminated nations from my doing. Since the British capital was 2 spaces away from Spain, I took their capital next. Luckily by that time Spain had acquired all of Africa so by defeating them I took it for myself. Then since I owned France I easily took the Germans as the 7th nation destroyed by me. And to finish it off, I took all of Eastern Europe and Asia by taking the Bering Straight to the Korean capital. The final battle of that was below.

So that was 11 and a half hours of my life. I think I'll beat it as the Chinese now. When you play as them you create Citizens instantly. I love being able to do that.

as much as i hate to say it, France is the best nation i've played with. as long as u have a few supply wagons with u nothing can kill u. it's awesome. in any game where i start with some troops and a supply wagon and i'm France i just march right up and do massive damage right away. just enough to set them back so that i'm always way ahead.

EDIT: i just realized that that is the expansion. is it much different/better? i can see some differences right away, bu they dont seem like much. would u recommend getting it, or is it not worth the money?

I really have no idea which is better. As soon as I installed the first I installed the expansion. I never played the original, just Thrones and Patriots.

By the way, the Chinese rule over all. Instant Citizens = WIN.
