I feel ya. I always thought MS would get better when you're 100+, but at lvl 116, training is extremely boring, there's nothing more to buy (like armor and weapons), and you realize all the time you spent into making this pointless char.

There's really nothing to do to have fun on MS anymore except chatting with friends and killing bosses. Before, I couldn't wait to get home and play maplestory. Now when I get home I go out with friends and when I get back home I solo pap twice, chat with some friends, then l log out before my mind is numb with boredness...

    Must.. Get.. Wii..

As far as stats, pump STR. If you can't hit the weaksauce things you're training on, add DEX. Level factors into accuracy, too, so don't freak and add tons of DEX because STR does WAY WAY WAY more for your actual attack power. As for skills...I'm not gonna go by levels, just tell you what things you want to get and in what order.
        • Starting RIGHT AWAY at level 10, get 5 in Improving HP Recovery. That skill is pretty useless in and of itself, but 5 in it will unlock the most important skill you'll get. Make sure to NOT put points anywhere else first, order is important here.
        • Right after that, completely max (8-10 points, I forget) Increasing Max HP (or whatever, I forget the exact name). Its description is kinda confusing (Engrish rofl), but basically, it makes it so every time you level up you get more HP. Once this is maxed, you get 40 extra HP per level, which adds up FAST. Warriors in their 20s have more HP than other classes have in their 70s. It's ridiculous.
        • After that, 1 point in Power Strike. Not super useful right now, but it unlocks Slash Blast.
        • Max Slash Blast. It's the main advantage of warriors in 1st job (every other class only has attacks that hit single monsters, SB can hit up to 6). With this you can train really well in tight areas with groups of monsters. You'll just wail on them all. It can drain your money to use a bunch of potions, so you might wanna go easy and only use it if there are 5-6 monsters to hit.
        • Max out Power Strike. You'll prolly still use SB more, but PS will be your main single-monster attack for quite some time. It'll help if you do the Party Quest and are accurate enough to hit King Slime.
        • After this, you have basically all the needed stuff. The rest is super useless (if you have a chair, recovery is crap, you'll never hang on ropes to idle so screw endure, and the 20 or so wdef you could get from IB will do nothing), so just get whatever you want until 2nd job.
        • 2nd job get.
        • 19 points in mastery. Don't max it just yet (last point only adds 1 accuracy, not min damage). I recommend doing pure spear (aka: get spear mastery and such and no polearm skills) because spears are generally better (I will elaborate on why if you want) and hybrid (aka: getting both) is unwieldly and overly complicated.
        • 6 points in booster. It does the same at level 1 and max level, but you get longer time/lower cost every level, which helps. 6 is enough to work with at this point, but you'll get more later.
        • If you wanna do PQs and not much else, get HyperBody (after 3 points in IW needed to unlock it) now. If you plan on mainly just fighting monsters (faster training than PQ by far, given the wait time between PQs) then max Final Attack. FA will speed up training (it's MUCH faster than PS/SB) and somewhat reduce pot useage (it's like a free attack), but it doesn't work with 3rd job stuff so the sooner you get it the better.
        • If you get HB first, get FA now. If you got FA and wanna keep playing alone and nobody you party with demands HB, max booster. If people are demanding HB, get it. You could mix things up and get a lil more booster (so it's not so costly/annoying to recast) and then max HB, it's up to you.
        • Whichever of HB/booster/FA isn't maxed now needs to be maxed.
        • Put that last point into mastery.
        • Do whatever you want until 3rd job. Again, a bunch of stuff you don't need.
        • 3rd job get.
        • Ask a 3rd job DK to tell you what to do. =P

                  Re: MapleStory

Like EB said, I'd suggest leaving that last point of spear mastery til level 70. Not only is that extra acc useless (but since you're a pure, you have nothing better to put it on), It also makes your skill book look a LOT neater. :P
Anyway, a 3rd job build for a Pure Spear.

                  Level 70: 1 Spear Crusher
                  Level 71: 3 Spear Crusher
                  Level 72: 3 Spear Crusher
                  Level 73: 3 Spear Crusher
                  Level 74: 3 Spear Crusher
Level 75: 2/3 Spear Crusher - this is where it gets tricky. Keep it at level 15 to be able to mob somewhat, put it to level 16 to maximize damage to 1 monster.
Level 76: 3 Spear Crusher / Save (depending on if you got 2 or 3 points into Crusher last level.)
Level 77: Dump all your points into Crusher now.
                  Level 78: 3 Spear Crusher
                  Level 79: 3 Spear Crusher
Level 80: 2 Spear Crusher (max), 1 Element Resistance.
                  Level 81: 3 Dragon Blood
                  Level 82: 3 Dragon Blood
                  Level 83: 3 Dragon Blood
                  Level 84: 3 Dragon Blood
                  Level 85: 3 Dragon Blood
                  Level 86: 3 Dragon Blood
Level 87: 2 Dragon Blood (max), 1 Element Resistance
                  Level 88: 3 Sacrifice
                  Level 89: 3 Dragon Roar
                  Level 90: 3 Dragon Roar
                  Level 91: 3 Dragon Roar
                  Level 92: 3 Dragon Roar
                  Level 93: 3 Dragon Roar

                  Level 96: 3 Dragon Roar
                  Level 97: 3 Dragon Roar
Level 98: 3 Dragon Roar (max)
                  Level 99: 3 Element Resistance
                  Level 100: 3 Element Resistance
                  Level 101: 3 Element Resistance
                  Level 102: 3 Element Resistance
                  Level 103: 3 Element Resistance
Level 104: 3 Element Resistance (max)

                  Level 110: 3 Power Crash
Level 111: 2 Power Crash (max) 1 Spear Dragon Fury.

You really think it's a good idea to max Power Crash and forsake Fury? Is it really THAT weak? I mean, if you flip it (1 PC and 20 Fury) it'd be at 220% attack. That would outdo Slash Blast, wouldn't it? o_O

Why would you screw around with a 5 slot Icarus2 :/

Anyway, good job. Don't do that crap again, just 60% it and you've done yourself and amazing favor.

Capes only have 5 slots to start out it, I thought?

Yah. Unlike Polearms, which NEED Fury to train, pure Spear users have absolutely no need for Fury. Level 1 Fury would be all Spear users need to lure a mob.

I made a new warrior yesterday night. Hit level 20 earlier this afternoon with my friend who is also the same level. I'm going Sader, him DK.

                              Erm, they do.

We both talked about it as having 5 slots.

Saying "5 slot" implies that some were used and that 5 are what remains. You should have said "clean" instead. That would have cut the confusion right at the source. Seriously, for a second, I was like "wait... did he use a 10% scroll on a non-clean cape...?" Then I was like "oh wait 5 slots is clean".

And there actually is a cape with more slots I believe. One of those weird colored gach adventurer capes.
