Ugh, why does EXP get to be so high on the test server
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
Ugh, why does EXP get to be so high on the test server
Probably because it's a test server and it's designed to let people try out all the classes and do so quickly, because they are likely to reset the server really often and wipe out everybody's characters and money, so if they do so it wouldn't be so upsetting because they can rush right back up to level 200 with ease, especially since they have boos monsters like Zakum, where you get massive exp from it anyway, multiply that out and you level multiple times just from killing his arms.
But yeah, I bet they get lots of server resets, or else they'd all have hit level 200 and it'd be boring. =\
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
About all you can do with the test server is look at that blog where they post SSes of what's in it. I forget the URL, though, so whoops can't give it to ya. They had zMM on there a while back, way before MSEA got it.

Chromer, if getting into the Test Server were easy, nobody would play the original game and I would have quit ages ago having completed my goal in 2 weeks.
He says that part of vacking requires accessing the MS server because monster position has nothing to do with one's local computer. I say that if the server is unsure of a positition and someone's computer says a monster is somewhere, it updates the monster's position on the server.
The uber vac only effects your own client, and it just you attacking nothing and hits registering on monsters all over the map to other people around. Also, just hit 51 on my Khaini spearman.
Taking a massive break from ms for about a month (until May 5th) because I have AP's coming up and I haven't started studying.. Expect me to stay 70 for quite some time. I was rethinking my build and I think that puppet really isn't that important now, especially since I'm still training on nooby things (pixies, zombies, hectors, etc.) Once I get maxed strafe and a nice arund, then I think the world opens up some more. That is when I need puppet and mortal blow. btw, where did everyone train during the 7x's, especially you bandit because hermits and rangers are very simillar. Just wondering because I get less then 0.01% for every luster now and it is pissing me off..

ckj: Everybody levels in the same place in their 70s (early 70s, at least). It's the same as when you hit any job advancement. No skills are so godly at level 1 that you can suddenly change where you level. When I hit 30 I still leveled at Ant Tunnel and such. I didn't move to Jr. Grupins until about 35 when FA was half-maxed and was decent. Now that I'm 70 I am still stuck with Jetis, Grupins, and Pangs as my leveling places. Once I about level 80 when my explosion is half-maxed I will prolly move to somewhere in Ludi.
For you, I'd say just keep leveling on whatever you're on now. You'll be able to move to harder stuff prolly around 75 when Strafe is halfway maxed (and if you do, you'll have a spare point to throw into puppet any time between now and 80, since you used your first point on Strafe). That is all speculation based on my experiences with job advancements. I remember Jason was still at zombies for a long time because Shadow Partner was too costly to use and his Flash Jump wasn't high enough to let him manuever around crazy places really well yet.
Oh, and I want to go back on what I said before. Fire Arrow is stronger than Arrow Rain, yes, but having gone to Ludi with explosion and seen what that sort of AoE spell is good for, I expect Rain will be a lot more useful than Fire Shot when training in Ludi, because it allows you to hit things above and below you from a safe spot, whereas anything you could hit with FS would be far away and at an angle such that it could shoot back. Not that that will be much of a problem after you get puppet, but still.
Oh, and about zMM: Anybody know how long she takes to spawn? If she takes longer than MM but short enough that she's more popular than MM, I'd like to mass kill regular MM as soon as zMM gets released. XD

Which means where I normally solo, I'd be getting 1,300 + 130 = 1,430 * 60 = 85,800 EXP per monster.
Do you understand now how retarded it is that such a server exists? And why I so wish a private server would spring up soon? This game is such a waste of time but still has so much appeal that I really can't ever leave it alone until I get closure.
It's hard to believe it's been over a year and a half since MapleStory was introduced here in America and there has not yet been a single successful private server.
I think I'm going to train at hectors until I can 1 hit lusters very often. 2 hits on lusters for 155 doesn't compare to 2 hits on zombies or hectors for 190 or 170 exp respectively. Once I can 1 hit lusters..... awesome. I expect to 1 hit them at level 75 maybe? Until then, I'll whore zombie maps and hector maps. Also, are buffys good exp? They seem like very fast exp, considering the decent spawn and low hp for 230 exp or 250 exp (I think). Anyways, I'll level on them 75+ and then maybe somewhere else at 8x.

Usually rangers seem to get strafe up to 21 or 24 and stopping there for a little while, to get some other skills. That way by around 85 or so, they can move to vikings (6 puppet, 9-12 arrow rain for grouping). I'd personally get 21 strafe, 9 puppet, and whatever in arrow rain before moving to vikings.
And I think arrow rain is only used to group, as the strength of it sucks. :S

Inferno seems extremely useless. Although it is strong and does a lot of damage, it isn't as USEFUL as most of the other skills. I'll have to decide whether I put points into inferno or hawk later on, but I'll probably never get there. =D So I guess I'll stay at lusters or something and head on over to ludi mid 70's.
