I wouldn't say the game is a "piece of shit", but it's entirely mediocre, repetitive and just plain boring after a few hours. The concept is cool, but the execution was poor.

The promise of online, and then not delivering, is what makes this one of the worst games ever concieved by a small indie studio.

I don't give a crud if the game is good, bad, exciting, bland, unique, stale. I care if devs state a game will have something and then not actually having it AND THEN PUTTING A STICKER ON THE COLLECTORS EDITION BOX FOR PS4 THAT SHOWS THE GAME IS ONLINE is really REALLY scummy.

it almost has 3 hours of gameplay before getting to cookie clicker tiers of repitition. also idk anyone who is actually capable of maintaining a constant 30 fps, let alone 60 fps on the pc port.

and the whole multiplayer lying bs.

Are you kidding? There's no way they didn't make a killing off this.

The question is whether they will sucker people into spending millions pre-ordering their next hyped up garbage game too. Given the goldfish attention span of the internet, my bet is they'll do just fine. Ubisoft and EA certainly have no problems with that strategy.

I still can't believe how many people are still giving money to all of these devs pushing out "SURVIVAL OPEN WORLD SANDBOX EXPLORATION PROCEDURALLY GENERATED" left and right.

I think dunkey's video on the matter summed up all of the bad parts about the game. The PC version is straight up unforgivable, though.

I've noticed the FPS problems tend to be mostly on AMD graphics chipsets. I have a GTX 960 myself and have no problems so far running the game at max settings and smooth 60 fps.

My buddy who was on the HYPE train so goddamned hard, got to be a victim of the derailment.

Probably one of the most disastrous PC launches ever.

Couldn't play the game for 2 days until someone posted a fix on reddit and it randomly worked.

Despite the dev basically saying I was screwed because I didn't "meet the minimum requirements" (Radeon 6990).

Yeah ok.

It runs perfectly fine after the fix.

I'm lost for words at how bad this launch was...honestly.


I'm enjoying the game itself though. I'll give it that much. It's essentially what I was expecting.

I -almost- pre-ordered this, but I decided to spend the $60 elsewhere. Thank goodness.
I was super hype for this but after reading some of the reviews, and especially the fuckin steam reviews where people purposely crashed their game thousands of times in order to write the reviews lmao.

but my PC definitely can't run this. wish they had a benchmark tool or something but I'm 100% positive this would run terribly on the build I have. maybe when it drops in price and I have better parts I'll pick it up. hopefully by then, the game will have added features that make it more exciting.
