Hey, Borg, you like DoA3? Trust me, you didn't miss much in the turnover. Sure, the graphics are slightly better but the idiots at Tecmo decided that they'd only give 2 costumes for every character (when people complained in DOA2 when they only had 6-8, shows how much they listened), and then had the brainwave to put the extra costumes on a separate disk that you could only get if you subscribed to a certain magazine (EGM or something, I forget), followed by their genius idea to make it XBOX only.

Needless to say, sales dropped considerably.

In my opinion, I like PS2 better. It has Gran Turismo 3, will have 4, and just has a broader spectrum of games to play.

GTA3 n vice city look way better on the xbox then the PS2. PS2 could never handle Halo.

PS2 has more games but a whole bunch of them, SUCK.

What is wrong with everybody? Somehow some guy put a thought into everybody's mind that Gamecube was marketed solely for little kids and thus the games are crap (minus mario and zelda ololol). Here's some countering for you.

Super Smash Brothers: Melee - Game of the Year 2001. Beat out Halo and Dark Cloud 2 (Xbox and PS2 Games of the year). Do you know why? Halo is unoriginal drivel and Dark Cloud 2 just couldn't compete with Melee.

Metroid Prime - Game of the Year 2002. This beat out MechAssault and Kingdom Hearts. Do you know why? This is the first original FPS in a long LONG time. Plus we've been waiting for a console Metroid game for too long.

Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 - If you've played them you know why I chose them. If not then go buy them.

F-Zero GX - Could there be a better racing game out there? Crappy racing games keep coming out and stupid kids keep buying them thinking they have some original concept behind them. NO. They do not. They have the same cars with the same impossible steering and nothing else. They redesign some tracks in each game and put it out to make you think it's a brand new awesome game. This would be your loss of 50 bucks for a crappy worthless game.

Hey, get me some 6 year old that can beat any of these games and you've got yourself an argument. Monkey Ball is the only game on that list that is rated "E" and no child under 13 could possibly beat that game no matter how many times they played.

Halo is NOT that good of a game. It has little to no replay value once you beat it on Legendary (OH WAIT. YOU CAN'T) and the multiplayer isn't even that fun. All they did was take weapons everybody knew for the "human" weapons and invent a few others for "alien" weapons. But wait! Timesplitters had that first. Plasma weapons and sticky grenades all belong to Timesplitters. No orginal concepts there! So you get a shield. I get a shield in all my FPS games. In Half-Life you have it from almost the very beginning to the very end. In all Bond games you pick up armor. In Timesplitters you pick up armor. ETC ETC ETC PWNED.

Plus, what original characters does Microsoft have? NONE. Master Chief does not count as FPS games cannot have memorable characters behind them. Sony has two I think: Ratchet and Clank and Crash Bandicoot. I do believe that Crash is on Nintendo games now. Maybe you could include Snake in that. Maybe.

Nintendo's list of major characters is into the twenties now. Mario, Link, Samus, Kirby, Yoshi, DK, Fox McCloud, Captain Falcon, and Wario (just to name a few). There are 25 alone in Super Smash Brothers Melee that could all deserve a new game or two. Most have. They left out a few others from Melee which puts it even into the thirties.

How is Gamecube only for kids too? I'm 18 now and enjoy very much playing my nintendo-exclusive games alone or with 3 friends. I wouldn't say that I am the best at video games but I do rule quite often. Even so, I can't 100% beat some of my games. Like F-Zero, Timesplitters 2, Zelda: The Wind Waker, Sonic Heroes, and even my first game that I've had for TWO YEARS now: Super Smash Brothers Melee. Nintendo knows replay value instinctively. I own 23 games now and I would say that of those 23 I do not like 2 of those games. Those games aren't Nintendo Exclusive and I definitely should have done some research before I bought them.

You are no longer allowed to use the argument that Nintendo Gamecube has kiddie games / is only for kids. If you do I will refer to this post to re-pwn you thousands of times over.

THERE IS ONLY ONE HALO. Whether or not you mean the XBOX or PC version, it's the same thing only with a mouse and keyboard in place of an oversized paperweight. I never even played the game a second time through. I beat the first level on legendary and all my buddies who I know really own at FPS games say that the rest of the game on Legendary is insane. You can't take down enemy shields at all, bullets from enemies hurt like anything, and it takes so much longer to kill simple units.

I'd love to see a screenshot of the final mission completed on legendary with some proof that it was you who did it. Then I'd love to see a screenshot of the following:

Zelda: The Wind Waker - 100% Complete Nintendo Gallery.
F-Zero GX - Beat all 5 cups on every difficulty rating.
Metroid Prime - 100% complete.
Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 - 100% (I've actually done this one).
Timesplitters 2 - All Arcade League and Challenge Mode missions complete with minimum of Gold.
Sonic Heroes - Every level completed with an "A" rank.

Ok here's the thing. Gamecube: It is ok. It has SOME worthy games., but that console is for a familly with like three siblings. It is a family console. So for me that really bites. So boo to gamecube.

Ok X-box. If you are into computer games this is the system for you. Halo is this system's strongest game. Halo IS NOT like any other FPS if you really pay attention. Three things about this game that make's it original. The vehicles. Not only for land but air as well. No game has that even though some James Bond titles do but the freedom on Halo makes it more original. Next, the way you fight. Realism of holding only two guns instead of fictionally holding seven million. I mean where exactly are the people putting these things? The ability to use an ammo-less weapon as a melee. No game has ever done that b4 Halo. Last but not least is being able to fight against 16 people in the same room. Xbox also has DOA3 (the only 3d fighter worth anyone's time) custom soundtracks etc.

PS2 is for those who really want action. A majority of games on that system are low on replay. BUT ps2 has the Grand Theft titles (even though xbox gets them later on) Ps2 owners get them first. Ps2 also has RPGs, and solid GOOD racing titles. Plus if you ever owned a psOne or PSX as I better know it as, you could play those classic games on ps2. AND IT IS SMALLER. I mean Jevus have you ever tried hogging the xbox around.

I have both the xbox and PS2 and my decision issss.....Dreamcast LOL jk PS2. People should realize that graphics do not make a game fun. I based my decision on what system keeps me occupied. Xbox does not have a lot good games that interest me. While PS2 has plenty.

Plus PS2 has the great RPG Final Fantasy, and the unbeatable capcom fighters (crossover with snk or just capcom either or)

BTW the only game that I own on that list is TImesplitters and I haven't played that is a while. I have a few bronze here and there and a few platinums but mostly gold and silver or would you like a pic of my stats on that as well? You only said a word I have no problem taking those pics.

PS2 has a bigger selection of games, but Xbox has some funner ones. Like Halo, that game is mainly Xbox's signature game. But you don't see many games for Xbox when you see them on tv or something, its mainly PS2.

I'm not sure but I think I would choose PS2 over Xbox.

Multiplayer on Halo is the best 16 folks in one arena. Some games on xbox make me question my choice at times.

Xbox controllers should be used for FPS and 3d fighters like Tekken DOA and SC

PS2 controllers are for you good old fashioned 2d fighters (Capcom vs Snk 2, SVC chaos, KOF 2001 etc)

both controllers have their pros and cons
