I think now would be a great time to ask this:

Does this mean Xiz can kill one of us immediately at any given time during the course of this phase? If that's true does that end the day phase?

idk, if character choice has ANYTHING to do with it he's probably 3p. kinda just have to wait for him to show up. but when he does im expecting a full explanation.
