TeRa, there is absolutely no way to make the bass pedal bar note to stretch across the whole way instead of just being in the middle? Personally I would kind of like it better like that, but if its not possible than okay.

I have been using holds for drumrolls (the ones without definite rhythm); I think it would be nice to have them look like normal RB sustains. But for now we could patch a fix by having the sprite for holdbody as the tap note which should make it a smear.

I think somewhere in SM there is a place to change the coordinates of the receptors and everything, but I have completely forgotten where that is. I dunno if you know what I'm referring to or if I'm just talking out of my ass lol

Also, I won't have access to drums for a while (I didn't think my neighbors in my dorm would appreciate the noise) but I'll still be able to judge on purely technical standpoint providing you all won't mind me not being able to test playability.

When the noteskin is finished it 'must' be included with the pack with installation instructions rofl.

That's pretty sweet so far though, we can probably figure out a way to make it look more polished though.

Yeah, I was going to do that for sure. I was also thinking that we could include a few regular bonus songs (for the keyboard) as well.

also if it seems like the pack is dying we should at least release the charts to show people how good of an idea it is and wrangle support for future projects

This is a great idea. Sadly I don't have Stepmania anymore and I can't download it. ;_; And I bet it is possible to do the bass pedal over the whole thing, but it would be hard.

It seems to take alil longer for me to create drum charts though since I have to approach it differently than I would your standard song. It's semi-disorienting haha.

It seems to take alil longer for me to create drum charts though since I have to approach it differently than I would your standard song. It's semi-disorienting haha.

I find it to work the other way around... since there's very little interpretation involved in making drumfiles it's a lot easier for me. The only thing you really have to dictate as the stepauthor is playability through sections with drumming that doesn't convert well to four pads, where you have to find ways to make things flow. But other than that, it's just working with the music, a process that is IMO much easier than trying to tailor patterns to be enjoyable while still accurately representing the song in arrowsmash charts.
