you know after pumping out packs nonstop for like 18 months straight before vanishing, not one single person gave me any sort of gratitude
for it and I'm not shitting you here. it was p much peeps sending me files, helping out with gfx, playing da pack in the end and maybe some reviews and then abandoning ship never having anyone play the packs anymore in the span of like 2 weeks

i made 3 packs and everyone classifies them as "bad" or w/e.. honestly it takes a lot of work to make a pack and its somewhat disrespectful when they're forgotten about a week later lol you'll always see people playing the hard megapacks even when someone makes ~a gr8 pack~

dude, you were like...the core of this community's activity for quite a while. I can't really say anything because I never thanked you either, but shit this cuts really deep

but since it's better late than never: on behalf of the Stepmania community, I salute you for over four years of tireless, professional, and selfless service. <3 you truly are a leader in the flesh, and I'm sure that character is going to take you to awesome places irl, too.

tbh this goes for like 99% of packs, though. it's really hard to understand just how much work goes into making something and that's why there's often a disconnect between players/critics and the creators, because it's kinda disheartening to see something you put weeks or even months of work into be dismissed with a few words of disapproval.

I think this pack avoided a lot of that because so many people were involved in putting it together, but I'd still like to see a paradigm shift in the future.

I never have thanked people before for making packs. =/ I appreciate all the work you guys do. I play at least one file in a every pack I have. I think that makes it worth it.

let me put it this way

- I pumped out 5 ffrcp season packs AND others on top
- although the gfx help was incredible (many thanks wwplp, antronach, scylaax, and others), I still had to tank out remainder sets alone
- difficulty ratings for every file even though a lot of them are inaccurate because I worked on tight deadlines and skimmed a lot of files quickly without sitting down to play them
- admittedly I sat down and played at least 50% of the pack in actual play sessions outside the editor
- I released each season pack literally around the official start date of each season (with exception to winter 2011). dat pack release deadline
- I still had to judge every file alone and I got like 100+ submissions each pack because literally no other packs were being made
- each season pack took ~1.5 months from start to release date
- I'm a busy college student juggling all this shit on top of school and a part-time job (with exception to summer packs I only had the latter)

before anyone even tries to brush off everything I've ranted on about, put yourself into my shoes and pull all of this off on your own and do an even better job—assert the role of a leader and get off your ass and do everything from meeting deadlines, judging, difficulty ratings, graphics, and miscellaneous shit all on top

I actually play both Xoon 5 and LCP3 quite frequently. I just don't post scores because i'm not that good at SM.
