I may be willing to eventually continue the project somehow (havent decided exactly how), but I won't be involved with coding. Life has gotten in the way heh. I've been looking for a few people who are highly experienced with c++/win32, digital audio processing, GUI design, and professional level coding skills to presumably clean up the mess that is ddream's source code. However, no one's accepted the challenge thus far. I will probably not just post 5+ years of code open-source for people to rummage through, I am looking for actual developers focused and dedicated to this project. For example:
* universal support for all rhythm games (including those that are not stepmania-based)
* porting to different operating systems
* customizable GUI
* customizable keyboard/joy controls for playback
* auto beat recognition
* auto stepping
EDIT: there has to be a certain high level of trust between us developers, and that there will be some kind of interview(s) to confirm that.
btw here is a list of ddream tutorials/misc random stuff that's ddream realted.

I don't believe admins make exceptions, even though you programmed the tool on which the rhythm gaming community now runs.
