Re: easiest FMO AAA's?
lol all you stop it
if you can't play FGOs, you don't have to MASH
when i first played songs like J'ai, Eclipse, and shit, i couldn't hit for shit
but i RESISTED the urge to mash and tried to hit whatever i can accurately
and THAT is what helps you improve.
i see so many people that are stuck on the FMO level of songs because.. i don't know. they mash the hard FGOs or something.
if you actually took the time to NOT mash the Eclipse 32nds, you'll find that it is actually pretty slow. and then one day, you'll just AAA the 32nds without much thought because you've trained your fingers to hit them accurately without mashing.Comment

Re: easiest FMO AAA's?
Like Anaru said, resist the urge to mash and actually try to hit those tough parts in songs. So what if you get misses? Those will turn into perfects a bit farther down the road.

Just 50% less serious about FFR and doesn't really rant about DP
I honestly agree with this, don't mash since it won't really make you improve. Learn to read and not mash, and you might get a speed boost in return.Comment

Re: easiest FMO AAA's?
The Eclipse 32nds are equivalent to 330 bpm 16ths, with a stupid sneaky (23) jump in the middle to boot. Saying they're slow is a little misleading
But they do have a lot of 1234 and 4321 roll type patterns hidden inside, so you can learn to read them even more easily than other streams that speed even if 330 bpm is usually out of your range.
I think that's what most people mean when they say they don't feel fast, because of the pattern choices it's easier to keep up with than say, Rave7's second stream which is 30 bpm slower with no hidden jump, but much more punishing patterns
(I did that on purpose btw hehu)Last edited by hi19hi19; 02-16-2012, 04:56 AM.Comment

Re: easiest FMO AAA's?
hi19 is 100% right (he put it into more technical terms for me hehe)
anyhow the main point is: if you don't mash and try reading the files, your fingers will sooner or later go into 'cruise control' mode.
i don't READ the patterns in stuff like do i smile, rave7, or rato. my fingers just move on their own after i've gotten them conditioned to react to certain patterns.

Fingers have a mind of their own e.eHow to start an argument online:
Step 1) Express an opinion
Step 2) Wait....
