Yes there are some very good ones out there but it seems that people take the game WAY too seriously,Playing FFR shouldn't be a ultimate endurance challenge,It should be more fun and more of a leisure activity.

Well I'm not taking it so seriously as I did before. Spread is here to stay and that's how a lot of people like it; it is a leisure activity people enjoy. Just because FFR rarely steps to an old playing style these days doesn't mean the userbase are hardcore players. It's just how we like to play the game and we enjoy it just as much.

If you feel the site needs to go in a different direction, you are welcome to be the one to step up to the plate.

You can index hands and quads, you know.
Though you may have to remap to something other than the arrow keys in order to avoid ghosting issues with your keyboard.

I have played DDR for about 8 years and In the Groove for about 5 years and not once have i ever seen a jumpstream....

If FFR is leisurely for you, then you shouldnt be playing 9+ songs anyway, because by nature they arent casual anyways.
Those are for hardcore gamers.

Thats like telling someone who plays 2 games of DDR once a month to go play Pluto Relinquished on Heavy/Oni and have an easier time with it.

As pertaining to FFR, the Jumps are usually used to accent a certain sound[s] in a song (usually some form of a drum beat behind a melody, as far as i've seen.) Step artists don't really make a file geared towards one type of player.

Plus, why not challenge yourself as an indexer, one-hander, however you play? (:

I started FFR way back, on index. Had the same problem when i hit challenging+, so i started focusing on spread and eventually switched over entirely. It was so worth it haha trust me.

spread style is the main play style. index is just a sub-style that no one uses unless if they're doing it to do a certain stream/trill file. everyone who wants to play ffr seriously can use spread.
