I have played DDR for about 8 years and In the Groove for about 5 years and not once have i ever seen a jumpstream....The point i'm trying to get across is the step artists should not focus on one style of play.....More people would actually play the song more than once if it didn't have jumps within a 32nd burst of stream.

if thats the criteria

then come back when rhythm games are ded please and thank u

Not butturt at all.If i'm not mistaken,This site should be open to all ways of playing not just one style,If your implying that everyone should play spread,That's like asking for slavery to be reborn.

But yes I am saying everyone should play spread because with the way ffr is now: It's forced. It's not changing anytime soon.

The reason why spread files are more common is because they tend to more satisfiably acknowledge the song being stepped. It's difficult to find songs that can be acknowledged with single-arrow streams and little else. To how files are stepped today, stepping most songs that way would feel incomplete and unsatisfying to the music and [spread] players. Finally, the biggest reason that spread is prominent is simply because it's what the majority plays. Just like anything else, the majority is usually what is satisfied first.

I'm sure though some steppers will want to stand out from the rest and indeed step some index songs for a change. Alternatively, you can try stepping an index file yourself if no one else is going to.

All this discussion, but there's dozens of 9+ indexable/pure stream files in the game anyway. There should be enough for you to play files in your comfort zone, then plenty more out there for you to push your boundaries.

All this discussion, but there's dozens of 9+ indexable/pure stream files in the game anyway. There should be enough for you to play files in your comfort zone, then plenty more out there for you to push your boundaries.

Yes there are some very good ones out there but it seems that people take the game WAY too seriously,Playing FFR shouldn't be a ultimate endurance challenge,It should be more fun and more of a leisure activity.

Yes there are some very good ones out there but it seems that people take the game WAY too seriously,Playing FFR shouldn't be a ultimate endurance challenge,It should be more fun and more of a leisure activity.

If you don't care for the song selection on FFR, once again, go to SM and download all the index files that there are.

Lmfao, it's not really forced. I like to think of spread as the best technique that should be used for most players. For example, most people would agree that there is a proper way to grip a football when throwing it. Sure there are other ways of holding it, but it's been proven time and time again that the proper way of gripping it is the most effective. Likewise, it can be said that spread is the most proper way of playing FFR due to its increased effectiveness.

Sorry, but when it comes to any game, heck any possible activity, there are going to be some people that take it very seriously whether it's FFR, DDR, hockey, bowling, pie eating, bird watching, etc.
