The person selects their language, and then sends a message. The staff who are assigned to each language can then assist those people.

I agree with the notion of a board for a collective of foreign languages.

Many forums have boards specifically for foreign languages, and adding one to FFR, a community with quite the user-base, would be a great idea and a wonderful addition. I myself only speak English and French (a little Swedish, but not much), but I would be glad to help coordinate these boards. We should have to establish a list of people able to speak other languages in order to gather the right moderation team.

We're basically determining ban reason/length by forum rules, and case-by-case thoughts/decisions of Mods/Admins will be considered too.

If you make some "harmful" actions for the site or users, you'll be banned.

Adding a language board would certainly allow for a more diverse forum community. It would probably also encourage more users to utilize the forums imo.

It's definitely something that should be given some thought. Glad we were able to make a positive out of a negative.

edit: yeah I dunno my Spanish is decent at best. Working in a largely hispanic kitchen for a bit taught me all the cool phrases (maricon, puta, chinga tu madre, etc) and basic/intermediate conversations but I never felt like advancing that very much. Instead I took up ASL which is pretty awesome as far as languages go, except you can't type in it.
