What's the longest you've spent playing without seeing improvement?

If it was a long time, what did you do? Did taking a break and coming back later help? Does that ever help with this game? o.O;

And slightly related, something weird happened with one of my right fingers. It had that feeling like it needed to pop (like how you know, cracking your knuckles and such), but then it wouldn't pop. I hate when that happens. It's better now, though.

Also, do you guys do any finger exercises before you play, or do anything to warm up like practicing easier songs?

I was stuck on the transition from VD's to C's for a few months until I started actually being able to read C's. I probably didn't play more than 1500 games during the time though.

Right now, im in a big rut, where I seem to still get a good on 8's without noticing, and its making me break stuff.
I havent seen improvement in about a month or so and its pissing me off.
Although I seem to be able to FC the hardest FGO's here o.o?

about 5 months time, got fed up and deleted FFR out of my bookmarks, was bored about 4 months later decided to play and ended up getting my first VD AAA along with 5 more and a challenging AAA

My ez2dj skill didn't improve for the first 2 years. I kept playing since I didn't care about improvements.

I'm pretty much stuck right now. Pretty much just getting good FMO scores and nothing else. No Oni. So yeah, I suck.

i recently went from PA'ing challenging to PA'ing FMO's, i've done alot of reading and studying expanding my brain usage. When i came back to FFR after not playing for about 8 months i was surprisingly better. I can now read everysong. If i only had the speed i could AAA fgo's

Ehhm, where I am now, I've been stuck at getting low SDGs on FMOs for about a month now.
Meanwhile other people have already gone past me

I've been stuck at trying to FC VC's and AAA 2's and 3's for the past 2 years.

I'm hoping for a skill boost when I go back to school and actually have a good setup.

After playing stepmania for almost 2-3 months without FFR, I lost my FFR reading skill but my speed, endurance, jacking/vibrating speed were much better. I will probably never AAA a FGO.

I get stuck a lot. Taking a break seems to work for some reason. Everytime I take a break and come back I play better. Go figure

BTW dont whore songs over 1000 times. makes you a lot worse at everything. I cant even FC VC's anymore =[ and i have been playing sm for like 3 days straight. not getting any better
