I get better every single day, although if I don't play FFR for several days and come back to it I do get significantly better so I suppose it works with FFR.

Wait, were you playing with the one-handed style or are you just saying the reflexes in one of your hands was bad?

Either way that sucks. I'm not left-handed so I do have the occasional left-hand trouble.

Before I learned spread, I was pretty much locked skill-wise to about Cs/VCs, and that was when I was somewhat able to index. I'd say that I was stuck on my old account nearly 2 years, skill-wise. Once I hit spread, limits were pretty much endless.

Several users here recommended early on that I turn to spread from one-handed when I was asking advice on how to improve, and I must say though it required some patience getting used to at first, it's totally been way better for me in the long run.

Fortunately for most people, we will always adapt naturally, given time and consistency.

The longest time I didn't see improvement was about 2 to 3 months. My skill stayed the same, if not just ever so slightly rose, for awhile. But one night I got a huge skill boost. Even though I sucked (the skill boost was able to FC level 8 songs without any troubles), I still felt amazing.

Leaving FFR and then coming back can help, but not often does that happen. I left FFR for about 2 months, came back, and I was waaay better. This was without the help of StepMania.

I don't do any exercises. Just start playing. I prefer to start on songs semi-outside of my comfort zone or start with index, then moving into spread.

Learning to play index insanely helped for me. My speed, reading, stamina, and accuracy improved once I could FC up to a level 8 song without mashing.

Like others have said, I suggest you not whore a song for, like, an hour or longer. I can't play a song more than 5 times in a row without getting some kind of frustration that messes me up. When I started to get better, I stuck with songs that I could barely FC, and a certain 10 to 30 different songs every day and not play any of those more than three in that day.

3 months, I guess. From March (which is when I began FFR), and then to late July, when I got Ilonaya's Touhou pack. After only a few plays, I could pretty much close FC FFR songs on a single try.

I was stuck at the same skill for several months, which pissed me the hell off and prompted me to quit
